Title: CH buttons to recognise in mapper
Post by: mosgood on January 02, 2002, 04:54:00 PM
Anyone come across this problem?

I can't get Joystick mapper to recognise any of the buttons I have programed past 10 on my CH products control manager setup.

There's 32 buttons in mapper and I can only use 10 of them.

Any suggestions?

Do you have the speedkeys prog??
if not go to the CH Products web page and D/L it.
If thats not the prob, maybe you might be able to find an answer somewhere on that page. There are MANY CH Product users on this BB that will be willing to help you if all else fails.

CH recently updated their Control Manager program for their USB sticks so you might want to grab that to see if it helps.

I've also heard others with USB CH gear recommend not using Control Manager to program your gear but to use the AH mapper instead.

You can do it either way.  I have pedals/throttle/combat stick, all USB and I am using the control manager.  Nimitz has USB throttle and combat stick but game port pedals and he uses the AH mapper.  I think it depends on the equipment you have.

Thanks for the input guys.  I've downded and installed the newest version of download manager and m getting the same problems.  This leads me to believe that I'm doing something wrong while programming the devices.

I'll try using the stick mapper on AH.

Can anyone give me a expanation of what axis controls what?

I knew I should have went to rocket science school!

I have a CH products setup with combatstick and rudders and pedals. I find that if you go into control manager and setup it up like your going to program it then just save as is without programing buttons(make sure you activate) then go to control panel and make sure it say's controler is one device. then use AH mapper.
