Not sure if its jsut bad luck, but I've "crashed" on both my carrier landings so far this patch. First one *might* have had too much vertical velocity, but second one was not more than -1000fpm. Normally this would have been a clean landing...
?

Yes, I have noticed that as well. One landing could have been me, but not usually. But I tried to land with a perfectly good bird and was real surprised when I got the crash message. I'll wait for the fix before I do anymore CV operations. :)
other than that, great work!

Whew, I thought it was just me... Tried landing a ki84 on a CV last night (which is usually cake), and crashed what would have been a normal landing pre-patch. I thought maybe I just stunk. Which I do.

Saw a note in the MOTD that there was an issue with CV Ops, and some planes had been disabled because of it.
-
Maybe they've finally fixed the non-cv plane types from landing on the carriers... :t
-
Both my sorties were F6F-5s, so the "carrrier planes only" suggestion probably isnt the answer.
Skuzzy, since it seems to be happening to multiple people, this thread probably should be moved to Bugs. Sorry.

I just "crashed" a F6F on a perfect approach to the CV. 90kts, full flaps, gear/hook down. I cut the throttle when right above the deck, barely sat her down and BOOM "you have crashed"
:huh

I got a crash in the same situation as Wooly in an F-4U-1C....ouch
-
Yep , same .....
CV landing is a wreck / death

New patch out. Supposed to fix that. See the announcements forum.
