Hi again
Well since my last post I've managed to get a few more things working but I still have some problems.
I'm using the Abit KT7 (used the excellent FAQ website, very helpful), GeForce 2 GTS 64, Tbird 1 gig, 256 RAM, Win 98 (with updates), GeForce Tweak Utility 2.61.
Okay, I was using the Asus 5.33a drivers but was still getting the flicking blue screen thing even after using the Tweak utility so I downloaded the Detonator drivers 6.67 which seem to have eliminated the problem, fingers crossed! BUT I am still getting the occasional hard lock up. Is this due to running the card at 4x AGP or should I run it at 1x? Also, and this did happen using the Asus 5.33 drivers (but eventually stopped!), is that whilst you are in the cockpit and are using the F8 Pan mode, you get some graphic glitches. What happens is that whilst you're panning from side to side, you get what looks like a scrolling refresh graphic role. Like I said, it did happen with the Asus drivers, but I can't remember what I selected/deselected in the BIOS or Tweak util to get rid of it. I have to use Pan as Snap/Instant make me ill (affect a condition I have). I'm running at 1024x768x32. ALSO, my frame rate is still all over the place, but usually around 45-55 (obviously sometimes up to around 75). This to me sounds rather low, should it be around there or was it due to the last AH update?
Anyway, anyone else experiencing these problems? Any recommendations of which 'tick boxes' should be ticked in the utils or driver setup? (screenshot would be handy!).
So, I'd really appreciate any help, I've only flown AH for about 4 or 5 hours in the past 3 weeks and most of that was in vehicles or ships! HELP!

You should run Agp2x if possible. The rest I can't really help you with. (I use a V770 Ultra still.)

Try this....
Use the Det v6.50 or later drivers and under the Direct 3D settings check the "Force Antiailiasing in all D3D Applications" or some such.
I tried the GeForce Tweek utility and it screwed up my registry and forced me to re-install my drivers <did this 5 times :/ >....so...
I tried the Force AA thing and the blue flashes dissapeared. My frame rate suffered a bit but the game runs great now!
