Someone sent me this.
The link will take you to a add posted by some chick who offered to sleep with any wow player on her server who would give her 5000gold for her epic mount.
She got mounted and got a mount.
See the add here. (http://img227.imageshack.us/img227/3318/epicslutlc4.png)

:rofl I wouldn't hit that. Ever.
But, it is WoW.
Desperation may have set in.
-
Something tells me that in the world of WoW she is acutally a catch.
IN
-
I like her last line...
So talk all the trash you want, I got MY Epic flying mount AND I got laid which is more than most of you failures can ever hope for.
Plus she's going out on a second date with the guy.
That's so awesome. How many girls have sex with guys they just met and only get a free drink or two out of it?
I say she wins at teh internets!

well, beauty is just a light switch away.... but as ron white says "You can't fix stupid"
-
Deffinate double bagger, one for her head, and another for yours just in case hers falls off.

Nils,
I have to admit I play WoW, though not much anymore.
My guild (before you geeks go getting all elitist and act like your somehow better. The WoW player base is made up of a full range of people, many of whom would think this community as a whole is far geekier, and they would be right.) had some real lookers in it actually.
I think WoW may appeal to girls more then other MMOLRPG.
Hell we even have a 19 year old blonde girl who shoots guns all the time back east and for being one step above jail bate she is a very pretty girl(granted we have a few barkers as well).
Now many of you will be annoyed at being called a geek. Sue me it is true. You play a WW2 flight sim, in most normal people’s eyes that’s Geek deluxe. If you don’t play and just post here, you do not need to make an argument about why your not a geek, you just are get over it. And before you go and say they are probably guys, raiding guilds use Vent or Team speak, I have heard and talked to all these girls on it.
And no I won’t post any pics of these girls, I would have to ask, and they would say no.

There is nothing wrong with being a geek, and geeks come in all brands.
Some may not look like geeks but deep down they are.
WW2 plane geeks
Computer geeks
Gun geeks
Car geeks
Jeep Geeks
Leatherunderwear geeks
Being a geek just means taking an interest far further then most people would think is normal.
Geek is good.
You do have to watch out for the social misfit geek. This is the geek who can not interact with other humans without coming off as very odd. This is the kind of geek that gives the rest a bad name.
:D :aok

An epic flying mount is just over 5000 gold.
That translates to $750-1500 US at any given time depending on the current, average exchange rate. That's more than you'd spend in Nevada. :huh
edit: Not all WoW women are ugly. A lot are. Some need forklifts to get out of their chairs. However, my guild has a half dozen that are pretty attractive... and it's much, much nicer to hear their voices on comms than anything that shows up on range channel in AH. :aok
-
You'd know. :D

That poor lady has appeared on every gaming forum across the net.
I'm about to sell my account w/3k gold on it. Wonder what that will fetch me.

If I sold myself for pixels, I'd expect it. That is, if anyone would even want any of me. :lol But seeing that picture, I have a shot. :rofl

Yeah, I was amazed I just heard about it today, this forum in the past has had this stuff much faster then other forums I have seen.
Though, considering she turned herself into a hooker for a game, I do not have much sympathy for her.

That’s the truth, some of the dorks that play this game need to NOT use vox to have stupid conversation.
Gold used to be much cheaper then that before the big gold farmer ban just before the exp release.
Making gold in game is pretty easy now too, makes this even more funny.

Be very careful. Had 3 or 4 guildies sell their accounts recently. 2 got hosed. The buyers filed no receipt complaints with Paypal, got their money back, and DE'd/vendor'd everything on the characters.
Plus, don't think it's gonna go for that much. Maybe if you finish farming your epic mount... but since horde shamans are really common, and you're really short on Professor Plums (epics). Get into some Kara raids and gear up before you sell!

Pre expansion I sold a 60lvl rouge with basic blues for $175.00. I figured I could get near the same for this account. If I do sell its going to friends in guild so I don't need to worry bout getting scammed by kids looking to do that. Thanks for the heasup though, I did use PP for the 1st sell.

There is a fine line between being a geek and a nerd. Once you cross into NerdVille, you may never return. There is no 12 step program.
If you find yourself using geek terms, in normal conversation, with people who have no idea what you are talking about, then you may be a nerd.

I've always figured a geek is useful and a nerd isn't.
I'm a computer geek. Your computer breaks and I'll fix it. You need a new one, I'll build it. I'm handy.
I play a WWII game. I read threads about the history of everything and learn about WWII. I can fix the tards that think the Bf-109s in Japan took over Australia with their tactical nukes. I can aid those looking for information on a really interesting slice of our past.
The kids that sit around shunning the world while they do nothing but things like WoW and such are learning nothing, becoming useless at everything but having good reflexes and pasty-white pimple beauty pageants. They live to haunt you with useless knowledge and think they know absolutely everything and will pound at you with false "facts" until you give up and they think they look smart. Those are nerds.

Can someone briefly explain how WOW works and what you do? I gather its like Dungeons and Dragons (which I don’t really understand either). Do you fight and die often? Other than prostituting yourself, how do you earn money? With the money you can buy flying unicorns and swords and Mr. T like jewelry? When you die you start all over? Do you have to work in coal mines or cotton fields to earn money? I know this game is huge, but the only experience I have to compare it to is AH. I don’t understand.

You level up from 1 to 70 by killing things and doing quests (which involves killing things and/or taking stuff from the bodies 99% of the time). Once you hit 70 and think you're done, you're not. Now you can go do the player vs player arenas non-stop and get those item rewards... or, you join a guild and do the 10-man & 25-man "raids" that can take anywhere from 4 or 5 hours, to multiple days.
You get gold by "farming". Either killing npc's endlessly, running quests, or walking all over the game harvesting items (by right-clicking) to make useful items (healing potions, new armor, etc).
Basically it's a never ending, mind numbing cycle. It's a carrot & stick game. As soon as you think you've got the carrot, it moves just alittle further ahead of you, so Blizzard gets your $15/mo.
There's no way to "win". Ever. I guess in that way WoW & AH are similar.
It takes ALOT less skill than AH. It's basically pattern memorization. Know what keys to press, know where to stand, learn the timing... that's it.
To put into perspective what this woman's body is worth to her... it's about 50-100 hours of "farming"... simply so she could travel about 4x faster than your average player.

Thanks indy,
I just skimmed the Wikipedia article. Your explanation is clearer.

Indy got it right, but left out part of what makes the game interesting, its a big world with lots of interesting things to see. The quests sometimes tell interesting stories as well.
There is also and end point many reach, in the begining it was clearing the 40 man dungeon Black wing lair, then they added harder 40 man raid dungeons.
So once you had all the gear you wanted from these places the game was done for many people. So the creaters are always adding content to keep people playing.
What killed it for me was guild politics, running a raid guild is hard, time consuming and frustrating. Worse when the game inself changes the basic structure every has to use by killing the large raids. Now the max raid size for the new content is 25 man. This means a raid guild that had raiders to make 40 man raids have lots of extra people. This is causing all kinds of guild issues for just about all guilds.
The nice thing about WoW though, is you never have to see or do any of the raid or guild BS, as a casual player you could play for a LONG time a never get close to being ready to do the big group places.
-
Actually, now that I think about it SouthPark did a WOW episode. They either had a TeamSpeak or LAN thing going on; I assume you can talk as well? When your group raid everyone has to be on at once; in real time?

This is very true. It also works both ways. I'm fall into the "hardcore raider" group. I skipped ALOT of the solo, small group, and 5 man content (the bread & butter of WoW). I don't know crap about the story lines. I don't even care. I'm a "tank" (damage sponge/meat shield). I really enjoy fighting the 10man & 25man bosses. It's like putting together a puzzle. The teamwork involved is far beyond anything you'll ever see in AH. On AH squad nights, you show up and fly. On WoW raid nights, each member needs to have done their preparations hours or days in advance. This includes large amounts of farming, downloading & installing the correct mods, having good voice comms, getting 25 people to clear a 4-5 hour chunk from their schedule anywhere from 2-5 nights a week. If anybody screws up at any given time during that period, there's a reasonable chance of wiping (everybody dies), and possibly adding another 1/2 hour to hour of time to clear alot of stuff all over again.
When you win though, it feels like you accomplished something.

OMG, I was going to make a joke using the term, "World of potatocraft
" but I figured that it was too easy, so I Googled it to see how many times the term has appeared. It's not just a term, it's a real game that parodies WOW. Googled it or take a safer route and Wikipedia it... unbelievable.
