I'm playing at 1680x1050 on a 22" widescreen LCD, kinda looks silly with a font thats at least 1/2 in.

Perhaps the "Text Size" when you go into Internet Explorer>View>Text Size
Default is Medium.

?? ya lost me... Internet explorer font size has an effect on AH?

Denholm probably hit the "stop" button on the thread while the pictures were beginning to load. That or he's got a brick lodged in his brain. :D
There isn't any way to adjust the font size on the buffer in game, as far as I know.
-
Font size is in the GUI options in AH .
Nice to see you again Skurj :)
The largest is the default , I have mine set to the 20 , looks like you want smaller . There's at least 4 or 5 smaller sizes to pic from .

Heyas airspro
I tried adjusting that font size but it seems to only affect the icon font, not the chat buffer. With it as low as it will go I can't read plane icons and the chat font is the same size as you see in the screenshots.

I remember Skuzzy saying something about text in AH has something to do with windows text.
That's why if you just hold a key down in the message window you notice the frame rate does go down.
I just tried changing font size in notepad and my browser, FireFox, and did not notice a change ingame on the text buffer unfortunately.

Ok, this is from memory, so I could be wrong.
The font is dynamic in size and scales based on the resolution you chose. However, we ask Windows for the font and if there is not a font that matches the request, all bets are off. Windows will give us something it thinks we should have which may or may not be close to what we need.
Our goal is to keep the text size in the chat buffer close to the same size regardless of the resolution.
Again, this system could have changed from whet I remember. I will heva to confirm it with HiTech Monday.

I bought an ACER 22" 2216 5ms
I spend alotta time in front of it gaming and am very happy with it. I had 2 concerns when I bought it... The ghosting effect and would my pc be enough to be able to run my games at native res.
I haven't experienced the ghosting or blurring, and my machine can play all but the heaviest games at native res with eye candy turned on.
If you are gonna buy a screen this size, just make sure you can run your games acceptably at native resolution (1680x1050)
My PC
E6600
2GB DDR800
XFi (the cheap one)
1950 pro 256mb

I suggested it because once it did have an effect on an exterior application. Then again I'm running an old windows 2000.
