I've noticed several situations where image layers seem to flicker. I'm not sure if these are bugs, or related to something on my end -- but I'll bring them up just in case.
I do not have films; if these are of interest, I'll film and forward.
1) When passing by on runway, the concrete of the hangar pad was noted to flicker between concrete and grass, in a checkerboard pattern. Only noted on one base, but did see it repeatedly. (Might have a filmo of this base.)
2) Skidmarks on runway noted to flicker off and on in some situations
3) In M3 from driver's position, looking back at the passenger compartment, small squares just below the seating area and on the ...ummm....kickboard? flicker between the compartment color and another color.
-
I get the same weird flickering on the hangar pads too. Its the only place ive noticed it for me tho - maybe i just havent noticed the others.

I have some z-buffering conflicts too on medium field small pad, tire marks and some scattered shorelines where sand meets land, not where sand meets water.
-
So is a Z-buffering conflict something I can adjust for the card, or is it a programming issue? Never had in prior to the graphic update, but its getting a little annoying.
-
i have same problem and always have with aces high...
ati 9800XT
-
I get it sometimes, but not consistently, on a Ge7600 GTS
Not too often, but once in a while.
-
This is a little low-brained, but make sure you don't have terrain mipmapping enabled. It makes the terrain flicker and there might be a bug that makes images flicker as well...
-
HIS Radeon X1900 XT here
And killah, at least where I'm concerned, there is no problem with assuming "low tech brainage"
I'll double check the mipmapping issue.
-
so is mipmapping an issue?
-
not for me -- same problem seen
