This is just insane.  Worst officiating in NHL history.  I'm not saying the refs caused the Islanders to lose the past two games, because they could have done more, and they are obviously inferior to the sabres in the third period....However, the rulings in Toronto and on the ice last night and on Monday sure didn't give the Isles any chance of winning.

I really hope the league cleans up their act, and does something about this kind of officiating in the future.  And no, I don't think i'm some conspiracy theorist crazy Islanders fan, because the overwhelming majority of people I have spoken with (life long hockey nuts/non isles fans) agree, they have been screwed in this series...especially with last nights obvious goal....

I'm seriously considering whether its even worth wasting my time and money on the NHL anymore.  If it continues in this direction, I will find a new hobby to give away my money for 3 hours of drinking and fun.

But seriously, does anyone else agree this is BS.  Like I said.  I'm not saying the Isles have lost souly because the refs.  They have just made it impossible for us to stay at, or get to a tieing level with the top team in the NHL.  Yea it's obvious the league wants the Presidents Cup winners to go on to round two.  But come on.

And another thing.  If I were Buffaslug fans I would be pissed that the ref's aren't allowing for a fair series.  # 1 v # 8, and most of the fans in the NHL believe theres been screwey officiating leading to the Sabres wins...That would piss me off.

I'm going to make some predictions for tomorrow game.

Sabres will start the game with a 2-0 lead.  DiPietro gets ejected because Goalies can not have a lower case letter on the back of their jerseys, and the Isles will get back to back delay of game penalty's throughout the entire game, with the refs citing that Ted Nolan's tan is melting the ice.....lmao

at this point I wouldnt even be suprised.
