Title: Late War Main Arena - Split?

Hello to all of you.  I have just taken a year break from AHII, and am now back in the game.  When I left there was squabble over changing the Main Arena into 3 different types of arenas.  

I come back to find that the Late War Main Arena is now split up into TWO arenas...  May I ask why this is?

A year or two ago, the max number of people that would ever come online at one given time was maybe around 650-700 at the very very most.  Average nights were around 450-550.

Did this happen because of the increase of players?  I still don't see why there is an increasing and decreasing capacity on both servers though?  This only splits up the community, which I don't think is a good idea.

It would be great if someone could be kind enough to tell me why the Late War arena was split up into two.

During peek there are now around 900+ a night.

Ok, I understand this, but why do the servers have an alternating capacity, allowing and not allowing players to join certain servers?

Wouldn't it make more sense to allow as many people as can fit into one server, and extras into a different one?

To sum it up...

One main arena had people complaining when the cap of 500 got hit that they didn't want to fly in the other arenas so HTC made two LW arenas.

Caps auto adjust because people were complaining that one LW arena would be full and only a few players were in the other LW arena. HTC made the caps "dynamic" in that they increase in cap by how full the other arena is. This way the arena population increase more evenly.

Also, this is the way it is and no amount of complaining will change it, this horse has been beat to death many times. If you wish to, you may do a search and read for a couple of weeks all the arguments, comments, and replies. or you can learn to live with it and have fun flying :aok

when i got back on at 9pm est their was 700people on or somthing like that.
