Great Work Pipz! :aok
I notice you keep the gear up in most of your models. Do you display them on stands, or hang them up?
Hobby Lobby sells some pretty cool looking model aircraft stands.
Well Done!

Thanks Shifty
Welp I plan on displaying them on stands.Rite now they sit on my shelf I may just build some stands at work im not sure.Ill check out Hobby Lobby.Sometimes stands cost as much as the dam models:mad:

I don't know what brand of polish you used, but it didn't do a very good job - there are still black smudges under the wings, etc. Maybe you should rub harder or use a different brand of polish. . . .
Seriously - looks great! What brand of model was that? Most of the time I see either the Mk. I/II, or the V.

heheh thanks SKJohn...maybe ill use Turtle Wax next time! The kit is made by Hasegawa.Hasegawa makes a whole line of different spits in 1/48th scale.Tamiya makes a few as well which are really nice.

Have you also built the Tamiya version? How does it compare to Hasegawa? I've got the Tamiya 1/48 in my stash, but IIRC, it's the Vb model.
Sometimes I wish we had a modeling section on AH - I've got a feeling there's more than a few of us who also build models of the AH aircraft.

You get that cool looking dryer the same time as the washer?

What Hasegawa kit did you use Pipz? Is there a small intake, large cannon bulge kit now?
Spit looks great btw :)

Shamus......
hehehhehe evil old man evil!!!!!!!
SKJohn
the Hasegawa kits are realy nice.Usualy the Tamiya kits may be a slight step above but this isnt always true.If I had to choose between the two I would usualy go with the Tamiya kit.I think your rite. There seems to be a lot of guys into model building in here.Thats why ive been postin this stuff.
Yo Corky!!!!
I had a late MK9 kit and I bought after market parts for the small intake and large cannon covers.Hasegawa did make a kit though that depicted the early 9.I am not sure if they still make it though.Ill have a look and get back to ya on that.
BTW Corky did ya see my Spit VIII model in desert camo?
Thanks for havin a look fellaz!
