82 year old Venus Ramzey, Miss-America of 1944, heard her dogs raising a commotion near a barn on her property.  Walking to the scene, she was confronted by four intruders.

The former foxey lady pulled a snub-nosed .38 special, whereupon three of them ran off.  Ordering the last to stay where he was or be shot, she then called the police.

The perp was taken into custody by the authorities.

When asked what she would have done if he had moved, Venus stated she would have filled him full of holes.

Mrs. Ramzey is a semi-invalid, and moves about her property with the aid of a walker.

I saw this a coupla days ago, Shuckins. You forgot to mention...

They used her likeness as nose art on a B-17!

(Yes, what she looked like in '44, Not a Grandma-on-a-walker painted on the nose of a Fortress.)

It was posted earlier. BTW they made arrests on all 3 of the scumbags who were burglarizing an old woman. Good for her, she grew up in a more robust time when folks took care of themselves.

 on the am radio last night...it said she shot out all the tires in there rig with her pistol from her wheelchair..lol..is this true?,,lol if so,,too funny

there are many on this board who would have had her confront these bad guys with a sword or...   a cricket paddle...

maybe just learn some of that martial arts stuff and whoooop all four of em?

In any case..  we can't risk her having a gun in a modern society can we?

Serves them right to prey on the elderly.she should have tanked them:mad:  I bought my granny a 22 caliber automatic rifle for her birthday with machine gun granny engraved on it.However she walked out into the backyard for target practice and proceeded to shoot 3 holes in my uncles darn boat. i had to pay him 200 dollars to plug the dang holes but I gotta love my granny.When I asked her why and how she did it she said "he shouldn't have parked on the darn shootin range" :aok   On that note I decided to leave her alone :O
