Title: Blender: AH2v19_export.py script. A bug fix
Post by: Xjazz on April 24, 2007, 04:37:09 AM
Hi

The AH2v19_export.py is available
http://www.warezhouze.1g.fi/Here/Blender3d/AH_scripts/AH2v19_export.py

A some fixes:

The texture naming issue. New script read and write the texture names correctly , no matter where textures are stored.

The fixed crease value 45 is now 'released' and user can give own values. The  default crease value in Blender is 30.

The exporting without properties is working now correctly. Just remember to add a comma after the group / object names.

--------------
Denholm,
Thanks for the notification. This new script should fix your 'missing texture' problem.

Let me know if there are any other issues.

Thanks, right now everything is running smooth. I just wish I could get 1 BU to become the 1 x 1 sq. mile tile from the OE. I still have to re-size it to large measures, yet it's a bit better now.

Hi Den,

good it's working out for you.

Basically the one BU (blender unit) can be what ever you want. Please, remember the Blender export script export the BU values without any conversions.

So, if you like to have a 1mile * 1mile square object in AH, made with Blander, then the object measures MUST give in feet. I.E. 1 BU is 1 feet means 5280 BU * 5280 BU object.

Okay. Yet it seems what you showed me to convert the BU size isn't working. So how would I go about making the BU a size of 5280?

What I was mention before was about the viewing start/end distance. The grid floor size settings are effecting to the start/end distance min/max values.

Currently Blender grid floor is supporting only the metric system (/10).  The future versions will change this.

'Basically the one BU (blender unit) can be what ever you want. '
I meant with this the one BU can mean one millimeter, inch, meter, yard, furlong or what ever length measure you want.

For the AH object design the one BU means one feet.

I realize that simply because you've told me before. What I'm trying to find out is HOW I can change it. I don't know where I go or what I do to increase / decrease the size of one BU.
