Title: Light up the runways
Post by: Enduro on August 28, 2001, 12:17:00 PM
If nite is going to remain a regular feature in AH, any chance the programmers could find a way to temporarily light up the runways when we're on approach?  I wouldn't be surprised if a lighted runway isn't very "historic", but it would help.    :)

Maybe some flare pots would be cool, and reasonably historic...

Actually, I have no problem finding, or landing on AH runways in the dead of night.

Its not hard to see in AH at night but you cant see anything when its night time in AH and its mid-day in the real world.

I dont have enough sheets to cover all the windows.

Red cockpit lighting would be kewl, we should have a switch in the tower so we would be able to turn on the field lights. Search lights would be kewl too! WOW, lancaster night flights with searchlights looking for you !!! SWWWWWEEEETTTTT

LOL  mike clicks would be great to light them up just as we're on aproach to an uncontrolled airfield we can click in the mike for lo med and hi intensity.

See Thunders new post.

About 50 Canadians should do it.
