There are more pictures to come by pressing 'seuraava' or the other button.
Reportedly it's made in all metal and using a Mig welder. Moving parts are all ball bearings etc.
Wanna a small car? (http://irc-galleria.net/view.php?nick=joomikko&image_id=55070060)

impressive! His son is very lucky! :)

is it just an amazing model or is the engine really functioning??
I've seen where people build small engines like that that work somewhere on the net.
-
I wonder if when its done will it be authentic as possible? right down to the annoying rattles from the doors and the rear hatch?
-
That engine sure looked like it could function. Seems pretty solid looking and well machined.

Sorry to disappoint you but the engine is cold. I guess a functional one would require double the effort of the whole car alone.

he should have looked into guys like this then:

real working mini engines, maybe he could have bought or commissioned one.
-
There's no scale on those things but I reckon it might be hard to fit a miniature functioning v8 into that model.
-
I dont know, I remember reading a Hot Rod magazine back about 84 or 85 where someone was making 1/4 scale race cars, right down to 1/4 scale V8 engines, my memory seems to think they were pretty similar in size to this guy's Z-28.

like air said, some of those and other on the web are small enough...
it's like that Japanese guy that made the "cut-away" f4u all metal... working control surfaces and all.. some people (ie: someone) has MORE than too much time on their hands to make whatever you need.
