Is it possible to hook up your computer to your tv and play AH with your tv as a monitor?

DO NOT use CRT and PLASMA display to connect to PC

LCD TV is a way to go.

Yes but as explained it would look like crap.

The cheapest way that I found would be to get a second video card that has a TV out on it.  They even make them with the digital connection.  Heck a PCI radeon 9000 is what I have as a second video card.

Set it up in the ATI tools to "clone" and it will put on your TV whatever is on your computer screen.

Again it looks like crap (except for movies) and you won't be able to read any of the text.

All (or most) new LCD TVs have DV-I or VGA connections, so plugging the computer in would be no different than with a normal monitor. On older CRT TVs there would be no point of doing so, except to watch DivX movies I suppose.

I have a 32" LCD with VGA in... I use it as TV and monitor, even  simultaneously. At 1280x768 it looks gorgeous, and I don't have any problem when reading text from my sofa, 6 or 7 feet away :)

If your video card has s-video out it will work but like everyone else said you'll prolly get crappy resolution!

Most Tvs run at 640x480 resolution.  The best thing is to get a projector like someone else suggested, make sure its a good one (especially if it can do higher resolutions), make sure you have s-video out on your video card and then find yourself a nice big white wall.

Arrange flight controls and speakers as needed.

I  have an LG 32" LCD that can double as a monitor. I haven't tried it yet but it should be good. CRT would be crap. I've seen it used a couple of times and it's not worth it.

How do you like the "LG"?

I keep seeing more and more people with them.
Near as I can tell they all look great or as good as any other brand I've seen.
