Title: Speaking of CT........

Contrails ........ Contrails gotta have them, there wouldn't be a proper high altitude fight without em. They're mandatory ....

Contrails might do a nice job at MA:s as well.
Maybe they would sometimes discourage e.g. bombers from climbing that high in fear of becoming more visible. Then again, more clouds would be nice as well.

Contrails also look nice :)

I climb that high regularly, and ive yet to bump into someone else. What do you consider 'high'? Ive YET to encounter another bomber above 12,000 and if thats too high for you, SUCK IT UP!!!

I was flying as one of three sets of B-24s our squad took up to 28k. An enemy set of B24s appeared at 26.5k ahead of us, turned, and fell in formation with us just outside of gunrange. We were later bounced by five Chogs and only two drones made it out.

Isnt that whats SUPPOSED to happen?!? Bombers are SUPPOSED to be high altitude planes, 20k and up. I <> any bomber pilot patient enough to climb that high.

You've never encountered bombers above 12,000 feet? Where do you fly?

I fly ALL arenas. Im the only one it seems patient enough to go that high. Alright, I was exagerating, in my almost year of being here, ive made 3 intercepts above 15,000 feet. One was an HQ raid (Which doesnt really count, as it isnt a 'conventional' attack). One was a lone B-17G attacking an uncapturable base, and another was when 3 B-24s were bombing A-61 on the Baltic map. Thats where I met Overlag...

If I fly bombers I rarely fly them below 20K...Would make a nice SS if we had contrails.

Its nice to see im not the only astronaught here! And for the record, I wasnt saying no to contrails, I want them VERY badly. I just think you shouldnt get upset that Bombers are flying where they belong: up high.

I seen bomber's flying 30k to bomb a cv before.... mhmmmmmmm i swear and than he went on to bomb hq and 3 factories it was a lanc its gota be and also i  have seen formation of 262's at 23k i was in my 51 and our speeds where pretty much the same popped 2 of em the other 3 pitched their noses down and haul'd arse away from me rofl Must suk for those guys. People go up high all the time and u dont need patience 2 be hi lvl bomber
u get 100 % fuel

get rly far from base get plane straight heading to target autoclimb and go make a pizza ^_^

Or, you do what I do. Take 50%, find a nice field, not too close, not too far, and stand by, calling out CVs, incoming raids, and anything else that you see go by. Any aircraft above 12,000 is right where it belongs, and they should continue to fly up there without question. But it really isnt that common. Count to yourself the number of times youve heard "Furball on the deck!" or "Incoming bombers low!" and then count how many times youve seen "Furball at 20k!" or "Incoming bombers! 25K (Not an HQ raid)". The numbers are way in the favor of fights on the deck. Planes are for flying, not for tree-hopping. Even in a glider I hang out higher than most of the fights in this game. And I dont even have an engine to get up there ;)
