I have played Aces High since 1.03 (game id for the longest time was "streak"), but I couldn't fly enough to justify keeping an active subscription over the past few years. I planned on coming back to try tour of duty/combat tour, but that is taking too long and I wanted to get some stick time with the latest AH2 version in the MA.
I really love the F4U-1A. It is a blast to fly. I find that my gunnery skills aren't anywhere near what they were when I used to play AH 1 all the time and I have to relearn how to fly good ACM as well as master using TrackIR without getting disoriented.
I noticed some things don't change. The arenas I would like to fly in the most are the least populated. Axis vs Allies is almost always empty and the numbers I have seen in the early war arena aren't much better. So, I am stuck flying in the late war arenas since my time is more limited than ever and I want to take off in the middle of massive furballs. I have fun anyway as long as I get a chance to fly a bit before being toasted by more skilled pilots.
I don't have time to participate in a squad, but I wouldn't mind hooking up with some old wingmen. Anyone know if "Blacksheep" is still around?
