Title: NFL draft
Post by: Sixpence on April 30, 2007, 08:50:52 AM
ok, patriots got two thugs on draft weekend, what your team get?

BTW, nice swindle of the 49ers by the pats, now they have two picks in next years draft. And unless the 49ers make it to the NFC championship(but hey, it's the NFC and it could happen), the Pats get a better first round pick in a deeper draft.

Oh, and that 4th rounder the 49ers threw in was used to get Moss who reworked his contract so if the Pats release him it isn't too much of a hit on the cap.

Vikings

1 7 Peterson, Adrian RB 6-2 218 Oklahoma
2 44 Rice, Sidney WR 6-4 202 South Carolina
3 72 McCauley, Marcus CB 6-1 200 Fresno State
4 102 Robison, Brian DE 6-2 266 Texas
5 146 Allison, Aundrae WR 6-0 202 East Carolina
6 176 Alexander, Rufus OLB 6-1 227 Oklahoma
7 217 Thigpen, Tyler QB 6-1 216 Coastal Carolina
7 233 Williams, Chandler WR 5-11 184 Florida International

Not bad. Not bad at all.
Was still hoping we would pick up Brian Leonard  Who went to the Rams

Yes I know Peterson is supposed to be "all that"
but it always concerns me when a player is projeted to be a superstar in the NFL before he has ever played an NFL game.

The only thing we didnt get is the one thing we need the most.
A new head coach or a ball gag for him to be implemented on game days to prevent him from calling the plays LOL

On paper, Pats are definately the team to beat this year for the SB.  No doubt they will be a top favorite, if not the top favorite.

hmmmmmhmmmmmhmmmm I love NFL DRAFT!  That means fantasy football and suicide pools to win money in!

The Browns easily got the best draft picks.

On paper?  That would probably be the current champs, then maybe the Chargers, then the Pats.  (Then my Bears, probably and just to make Rip happy I'll throw the Seahawks into the mix.)

And Houston could have done worse.  I'm ok with, umm, Okoye.  There were teams that did a lot worse than Houston this year.  But that's no excuse for last year...Charlie Caserly ****damn SOB!!!!!

New England actually Drafted an SMU Mustang. I'm not sure if that's good for the Ponies, or bad for the M*******s.

I didn't like Jones then, I never liked him, and I don't like him now.

And on the original topic, I don't know, but the Titans already exceeded their thug quota with Adam "pacman" Jones, so I don't know what they got in the draft, but I was thinking they're already over their thug/salary cap and can't actually hire more thugs.

Just a sec Diablo, you read that wrong. Jerry's got 2, TWO[/b] firstrounders next year and still got the guy he wanted in this year's draft thru all the deals he made. Cleveland won't be walking right for a week.  It's the best draft deal he's made since Hershel Walker so he's back on the "Good" list. (Never thought of him as a God) Now if he would just keep his arse off the field during the games....

I have a good feeling about the next few years. Dallas always plays well with Native Texan Coaches. Landry, Johnson... Phillips???

Read what wrong?  I never said JJ was the devil, I was repeating what I've heard from 'boys fans since the day JJ fired Landry.

I applaud the Cowboys and JJ for a fine draft.

I hope this season is better for both Texas teams.

As far as I can tell everyone in Dallas is doing backflips and cartwheels over this draft. Nobody's calling him a devil this year.

Now if he would just keep his arse off the sidelines...

Your Bears were over rated last year. Winning almost as many games by luck as by skill
And unless they do something completely different on offence this year.
they will be over rated again
