I like how they try to make it sound sexy, 5.7 x28mm,  instead of .223 or .22
.223 must sound redneck...
$1800   sounds a bit overpriced to me...

A tad larger diameter (5.7mm vs 5.56mm) round, but much shorter (28mm vs 45mm).  Definitely expensive, but very, very sexy!  ;)

The Five-seveN handgun (http://www.fnhusa.com/products/firearms/model.asp?fid=FNF003&gid=FNG001&mid=FNM0004) is also chambered in 5.7x28mm.

I remember when that came out I saw it in a magazine and I was, gimme gimme gimme. Then I found out civilians cant buy the ammo. Because 5.7mm is an armor piercer:(

Terror

and a .22 is 5.68mm,  so its still a 22, and a 22 is 25mm overall length, so its basically a fancy .22.
I guess the round looks to me like a shortened .223

There are some sexy guns out there with non-standard ammo sizes.  Neat to own, fun to fire, expensive to feed.

The airplane equivalent would be called a 'Hangar queen' (because it sits in the hangar looking pretty, rarely flies).  Is there a gun version of that analogy?

Safe Queen

Generally sits in the safe because it's an expensive matching collectable that would lose 1/2 its value if you broke and had to replace one of the original parts or had a stock crack, etc. Too valuable to shoot, which is why I "collect" or "accumulate" historic shooters :)

I used to love having one of the "auto" PS90 versions in each hand, with the appropriate dexterity modifier, in the RPG Fallout. Great game for those interested in the whole Mad Max post nuclear war survival genre.

Cool deal, good luck!  Personally I'd take an MP5 at less than half the price, but thats me...

Ammo price is really not that bad.  Comparable to the "premium" 223 Rem.

About .40/rnd at Midway on this 5.7x28 advert (http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=428067).

Compared to .80/rnd on this .223 Rem advert (http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=739226)

With comparable bullets.

The grip looks like it would be a tad uncomfortable, but there's alot to be said for balance and accuracy having the barrol forward of the weight.

The newer Israli rifle (can't remember the name) seems to compensate for lack of range in most urban weapons yet is small enough to use in the environment.

Kinda reminds me of that.....kinda seems to be a growing trend in design as of late.

Not really, only personal preference as to that configuration.

This is the model with the built in suppressor. This is a Registered Sear GUN; it is registered in 9mm and .308. So that will give you alot of flexibility to do some different things with the sear. The MP5 and suppressor are excellent and there is not too much else to say. Looks almost new and works flawlessly. It will come with one mag. This weapon can be transferred on a Form 3 or Form 4. Will be shipped Next Day Air and Insured. Comes with the black nylon case. It is 9mm cal.

I may be getting semantic, and I may not be up on my current fire arms, but I'm pretty sure that the HK94 isn't the Mp5.  It does look like it, but it really isn't it.

Subtract a couple of parts and add the goofy fake suppressor and it's the same.

The Tavor... or T.A.V.-21... if I'm not mistaken.

I like most bullpup designs, but it depends what you plan to use it for.  I wouldn't take one into Baghdad for instance.... the more unique you look the more likely you'll attract sniper fire (2nd biggest killer in Iraq next to IED's).
Bullpups are ideal for urban environment as well as use in mechanized units (M16A2 is a PITFA inside a M113 (especially driver and TC) .... or in any capacity as a combat engineer, as you need your hands free to work often enough).

5.7mm is way too rare a round for my interests. Least, I've rarely come across it.
I like the 6.8mm round for it's ballistics, and most 7.62 rounds for punch and availability.  But again, if the tool was destined for use in Iraq or Afghanistan, I'd look to 5.56mm or maybe 7.62mm  (prefer 7.62, but easier to get 5.56, and anonymity in ammo selection could be desired).

SCAR is nice.  Like the H&K 416 with 10-1/2 inch barrel too, if it was for overseas work, and looking for a carbine.

Did you see that they want $20k for the first bid?

Its a Class 3 weapon. Pre 1985 and all class 3 weapons go for $ because they are the last that the general public can legally own.

One of my good friends has a ak47 mp5 and a German MG 42 gun. All full auto and looks in perfect condition.

The MG gun has a price tag of over 100k if you can find one.

Just look around you can find one for under 1k. Call the dealer set up payment and have him ship it to your local FFL dealer. Pawn shops always have a FFL on hand and they charge $25 for the paper work.

I'm a big fan of "Stargate SG-1", where they carry the P-90 (full auto version), so I'd be kind of tickled to own a PS-90.  Plus, it looks like a good home defense weapon :).

Rifles rarely make good home defense weapons.  Too much overpenetration of the target.  You could end up putting rounds into your neighbor's house.  Short shotguns work well in some cases (so long as you can maneuver well with it indoors) - Mossberg Marine versions with pistol grip come to mind, as do large caliber pistols with expanding ammo loads (again to avoid overpenetration).

Terror,
Got to play with one at work a few months back (P-90 Class 3). The guys would not let me shoot it though, something about not having a badge or some nonsence. But man can it through some lead!
They want these now instead of the MP-5's.

The Thompson opening is 45k. My current girlfriend of 2 years family has one from ww2 class 3. They also have a Grand that her grandfather used in the battle of the bulge and some nice Lugers war prizes.

I told her that is we ended up getting hooked that those Guns will always have a place at our house.  It would be a honor to tell the story behind the gun and keep them for our children.

He did have a German mp43 but had to chuck it over bored. He said that their are more full autos at the bottom of the Hudson sound than anyone would think. The bummer was that they didn't check for weapons when they got off the boat ):

Yup, I was right.  You're not buying an MP5 when you get the Hk94.  You're buying a standard 5.56 Hk94 that's been chambered to the 9mm.  It's not the same gun.

There is a Dealer in Augusta, GA his name is Joe Gaddini (not sure of spelling) He does custom work for FBI, police, etc... That was the price he quoted me ($775) on a barebones MP5 about 18 months ago.

Link to his products page... I don't see an MP5 listed but his other products/mods/prices look mighty good. Linky (http://www.swrmfg.com/products.asp) Unfortunately his guns are not listed, only accessories.

That gun in first link look's alot like an F90 it is a 50 round magazine lightweight weapon, i think it is a machine gun or submacine gun but that thing in first link isn't a pistol or handgun. Trust me that has to be one of the deadliest infantry weapons in socom combined assault its a nasty little thing, you can shoot a guy as well as his buddy behind him and the guy behind him neat though, and yeah i am not surprised by the 1800 dollar price
