I was under the impression that all operational Ta152s were used by JG301.
Then I found this:

Anyone know if this is accurate?

From what I've understood, and I did a bit of checking on this as I wanted to skin it, it seems JG301 is the only group that had it at unit strength, but I believe that there were 1-2 others that were elswhere, and maybe they were pulled from those places to consolidate them in JG301 (not sure, guessing here)

According to Focke-Wulf Ta 152 (by Dietmar Harmann) 4 to 6 aircraft were assigned to Stab JG-11 right before it's move to Leck at the end of April 1945. All aircraft were assumed to be test aircraft as no two were alike.
There is also evidence of other aircraft being assigned to a test unit EKG something or other. Will look it up and post it later.

Thanks guys! I hadn't ever heard of any 152s outside Stab/JG301 before. Wish I knew how to make skins so I could do that one.

Griehl & Dressel claim that TA152H-10(?) was used by III/JG301 at end of March 1945 and I and II were going to convert to TAs as well but they probably didn't have time before war ended.

Interesting.... I might have a profile from a book I scanned a while back, I never could find any info about it, so never skinned it. I will have to look for it when I get home.

Yes several examples were farmed out, and that skin sure would be great for our squad Krusty.
You could have ready in what...2 weeks ? :lol
Good topic and post Tux .

Here's the link:

I can't attach as image because it's hosted on this forum (in the skins forum), and you can't attach an image unless it's got the extension, which this doesn't.
Click that link to see what I mean.
If I could find any info on it, I'd skin it!!!

We will never find “official” documentation on every TA produced simply due to the nature of the environment at that time. From Jan to May of 45, LW units were being destroyed quicker than they could be re-designated. Sometimes you need to sift through all the available information to come up with the most likely scenario during that time of utter chaos. All information I provided here are from the men who were there, and the books they have written. Reschke, Prien, Hermann, and Stemmer. Sometimes you really need to follow the careers of the pilots and in this case, Bruno Stolle in particular.
The first Ta 152 series aircraft left the production line at Cottbus was a batch of 20 pre-production Ta 152H-0s which were delivered in October and November of 1944 to Erprobungskommando Ta 152, commanded by Hauptmann Bruno Stolle and based at Rechlin, which would service test the airplane.
On 1 July 1943, Hauptmann Bruno Stolle was appointed Gruppenkommandeur of III./JG 2. He led the Gruppe until 7 December 1943 when he was relieved by Hauptmann Herbert Huppertz (72 victories, RK-EL, KIA 8 June 1944). On 20 December 1943 he scored his last victory. In February 1944, Stolle was transferred to Schiessschule der Luftwaffe at Vaerlöse in Denmark, where he undertook an instructing role until July 1944. In the middle of August 1944, he was transferred to Erprobungskommando Ta 152 at Rechlin. From October until 25 November he was acting Gruppenkomandeur I./JG 11, following which he returned to EKdo Ta 152 at Rechlin.
Stolle, while not only commanding the Erprobungskommando TA 152 was acting Kommandeur of JG/11 in between two assignments with 152’s. These men were close, and with replacements dying by the score every day and finding their units, designations, and assignments changing daily “things” outside of “official” channels were happening on a wholesale level.
JG 11 indeed had several Ta 152s in last weeks of war. But is was due to "procurement" skills of JG 11 personnel. It was not because of official instruction to equip the unit with this rare bird. Stab JG11 flew no combat but did loose 2 Hs on a transfer flight to Leck when engaged by Spitfires. Another crashed when landing.
See Prien/Rodeike´s JG1/JG11 book (third part) for details
