Ignoring the centre to north west track in the picture, we have 3 planes. Spitfire in the loop, a Yak-T in hot pursuit and a 109 in a climb.
What tactic is the Spitfire doing and who's going to "buy the farm".

You can "save picture as" and use your picture viewer for zoom.

I tired zooming in with my picture viewer but I still couldnt make out which plane was which.
Can you tell us which one is the 109, spit and yak?
-
can't really see the picture, but i'd GUESS the yak is getting roped by the spit for the 109 to pick him.

Yak angled the spit and opens up. Scores hits but not before the 109 shoots yak and scores kill. But the spit isnt killed just missing wing tip, and flops on top of 109, and collides, causing 109 to Die. Spit wins. Spit flys home and on the way, pizzed off 109, reups, and goes to catch him. Spit hurt, and full rudder, to make it home stays low. 109 who is now fairly certain of which base spit went to, sees contact on deck from 8 k up. 109 drops down to lay waste to spit, and kicks wep. 2 k out he can see spit is the same one missing wing tip. As he draws closer, comes off wep, but its too late. He compresses, and augers himself to provide proxie kill for spit.
Spit lands on large pad, name in lights, and goes to grab another beverage. Meanwhile 109 tries to up from a base under attack. he gets vulched twice.

Spitfire in the loop, a Yak-T in hot pursuit and a 109 in a climb.
Or another way of looking at it. The 109 is at the bottom the yak is in the middle and the spit has done the loop.
Doen't really matter what planes what. The plane in the loop is doing what to whom and why ?

OK it's a poor picture I'll give you that but it's the tactic that's used. The maneuver that's important.
By the way the Spitfire in the loops is being chased by 2 bad guys. The yak and 109 are after the spitfire...... sorry I should have made that clear in opening thread.

Well, if that's you in the spit, then the spit will HO the 109 and then run for help with the yak!:aok

Spit has way more e than both cons. He will not be able to pull around on Yak on this loop so will kill 109 that is really low on E. Aa Yak stalls out spit will go vertical again and get Yak on next pass.

Here's an interesting side tidbit: In the month of March, Lynx averaged 9 hours of AHII playing time per day, every single day, for the entire month. 278 hours.
Wow

wow.

During the remaining 15 hours of the day, he did not set foot outdoors and touched any other human in physical contact.

Looks to me like the spit is just finishing the loop, and the guy right behind him is still going up in a lagged pursuit (he won't get a shot off, he'll have to finish the loop and come down to reacquire). The lower guy is nose up and zooming, but he won't really be able to get a good shot (especially not if he has 30mm nose gun).
The spit can ignore the closer con, for the moment, and come down on the lower one. If he's lucky he can kill or seriously damage the lower con and (here's the luck part) not ram him in the process, then the fight is now a 1 v 1 instead of a 2 v 1.

the spitfire is "roping" and the yak is going to "buy the farm"

to bad it wasn't an la-7.... but it wont matter cause when the la-7 in place of yak clips wing on the spit i bet the 109 will say I worked hard too and steal the kill ^_^
