I'm sure this was an honest slip, but still interesting as his supporters continued to cheer him on in the background.

He said it.
Although he is yet to find a woman with low enough standards which isn't inflatable.

David Spade I think

okay, I can see this going the way of "Who dat?"
Who is the "He" part of "He said it"? David Spade, Churchill (though I'd rather suspect J.E. Hoover), or somebody else?

His biggest slippup wasn't overstating the death toll-It was the way he kept spinning around, talking at the guys in back of him(His campaign staff?) rather than addressing the audience and the cameras.

True, true... You notice not one of those blokes reacted to his body count?
Furball: Oh. Cool and thanks.

Typical neo-con move: distract us with a gaffe from a Democrat so that we stop asking the more important questions, namely what reason did President Bush have to destroy this town with a Tornado in the first place? And why wasn't FEMA there in advance?
On a more serious note, personally I'm mightily tired of disasters and human suffering being used to make political hay.

Lets see. He's ONLY off by 1000% and that's darn near a bullseye for a politician. I don't know what your problem with this is........

Last I heard the count was 9 dead.
...Let's see. In Rush math, Barak is off by 1111.111111111... etc % does that sound right?:huh

I don't think it was a slip. I think he said that to stir the crowd. To make the story greater than it really is. A NG unit responding to a crisis in which 10,000 are dead and the NG unit only has 40% of their equipment, makes it look like someone is falling down on their job.
Truth is no unit ever has 100% of it's equipment. Something is always broken, going in for repairs, being replaced. 40% is not a great number...but then again "equipment" is a pretty broad word. Are we talking rifles? HMMWVs? Dozers? To make it look like the NG was not ready when this major "crisis" struck, is great fodder to feed the crowd of sheep. Maybe we can have a celebrity charity event and raise money for the 10,000 dead in a sleepy farm town in Kansas. And Kanye West can tell us how Bush hates black people.
I really dislike it when people turn someone else pain into their gain. Sad really.

I wish I could remember the stand up comics name, but I heard him say recently, "It's sad to see Britanny Spears condition these days, but on the other hand, the farther she falls, the better my chances."
