I'm guessing you get that when you kill someone carrying an observer or gunner.

I got that a couple of times during beta and a few months after AH2 went into actual play.  Pretty sure it has no relation to carrying gunners/observers.

I'm just noticing that they're right next to each other. Generally in the MA with CH200 tuned, you don't get a two kills fast enough before someone crying on 200 bumps the first up. If he got them both at the exact same time, then it's most likely true that one of those kills was the gunner/observer of the aircraft he downed.

If I recall correctly (it's been a few years) I would get 1 at a time.  There have been other threads on this phenomena with pictures of only 1 kill at a time, that one of course being #0.  You could certainly be right though.

Dont think this observer kill is right.  You get kill of aircraft or vehicle not pilot.  If you shoot a chute you dont get a kill.
You can also get a kill and the pilot bail.

They were at least 2-3 seconds apart, as you could interpret from the 2 differing screenies 200 was rolling quite slow that night. since the First screenie is about 4-5 seconds after the Second. But the observer position is a slight possibility, i had just shot down a Zeke i believe.

no idea other than that.

although i remember a while back where there was some wierd bugs, like the    "G/S" icon. that dissapeared when you got close.

I think it is the gunner. A few years ago when Rod367th landed his 100+ kills in a plane I was in the 367th and he told us that he killed a bomber and when the pilot bailed the gunner did to and he shot them and got 1 kill for every bullet hit. Also Iv always been told when riding with squadies that when they are going down to "tower out before that guy gets two kills". Im guessing if you stay in the when the polot gets killed the guy gets two kills.

I have had this happen 3 times to me. (None recentley, though.)

One time I remember quite clearly I shot down a P-51 and got the "kill #0" message. Got another kill over 5 minutes later on a different aircraft that registered as kill #1.

The original p-51 was a cockpit shot that caused the plane to explode (removed from play...no chute.)

In my experience related to this specific event, I dont think it has anything to do with the gunner/observer thing.
