Spain isn't in the Caribbean, how are you Spanish?  :(
-
Same way Mexico does. Original missionaries converted native populations many hundreds of years ago, spreading the Spanish language.
Ironically, the Spanish spoken in Spain isn't the same as spoken in Latin America.
-
That's like saying you are English if you are from USA. You speak the same language therefore you are English.

Jaja, todos hablan Ingles por joder xD!!!
:P
-
Furball, the folks in Mexico call it "Spanish." The folks in Spain call it "Spanish." The folks in USA call it "English." The folks in England call it "English."
It's just the name, doesn't mean it's the exact same language :) As you can see there are things you can say in England that a Yank wouldn't be able to follow at all.
I believe the difference between Spain/CentralAmerica is more than that, down to the way certain things are prononuced and spoken. More of a different language, but carries the same name. At least that's how a Spanish teacher explained it to me once.

Mmmm... little differences. I think is like English of UK and English of Australia. My English is very rubbish, but I can understand something, with aussies it's impossible.

I have a funny anecdote to fit here. I went to the USA to meet a few of my associates, most of whom I hadn't met before. Turns out, that out of 5 people there, 3 of them were British, 1 from NZ, and only 1 local. All of them were of course living there, but language was not quite what I figured to be the standard Yank thing...

No one ever says my name right either....ever.
Most popular pronounciation I hear ingame is "Check six Halycon!"
I've also been called:
Hackelyon
Halssoooooonn (think the guy was drunk)
Haloyn
IT'S HAL-SEE-YON.
The C does NOT come before the Y.

Don't get me started...
Trees, Tree-eyes, tress, trezz, trizz...
Its pronounced like TRAYS. Its the French word for 13, I took it because a) Its also the name of my favorite character from the anime series "Gundam Wing", and b) The Romanian word (Treizepreseche) is just too damn long.
Sorry to hijack wenig Banane. :p
-
Gundam Wing kicks ARSE!!! I LOVED that show! I even bought models of the Gundams!!!

The moles, wrinkles, and saggy buttcheeks set me into "Nah...eww." mode. I'd rather have the shrimp.
People have the fonetikal ability to call me "ozz" about 80% of the time, even after flying with me for over a year. I've gotten used to responding to both when ozrocker isn't in the area.

Fried Plantains are AWESOME :aok Thonly thing I will ever miss about Tampa is Cuban food,(and Cuban chicks:D ) which you simply CAN't get elsewhere in the country---found a little place here in Roanoke that makes decent Cuban food...had some Ropa Vieja other day..WITH fried plantains:)
-
you can get pretty good cuban food in just about any major metropolitan area in the country. also dominican, puerto rican, northern brasilian, northern colombian and panamanian food is about identical.
-
