Title: Ramming/Auger into ships

Unfortunately I did not record the film of it, but I witnessed a p38 that i wounded auger into a 100% healthy cruiser and sink it ( the cruiser actually did not do the sink animation but rather exploded and disappeared).

Anyone else witness this ever?

Not the ram did sink the cruiser but the 2x 1000 lbs bombs the P38 dropped before impact. The sudden disapperance might be an indicator that there was some bigger lag involved, so you did not see the bombs fall at all on your front end.

the p38 takes special care when dive bombing. He was a newb pilot, or a lazy one who compressed but managed to get his bombs on target.

What Lusche said...  I have seen a 110 do the same thing when I lived over in Italy and with the lag it was quite humorous.:rofl

I was within 400 of the p38 and trailed him for about 5 miles before he augered.  Do not recall seeing any bombs/rockets onboard, even on a head on pass.  Could be wrong though.

i agree with the others may have been atributed to lag
