I am having some odd issues with my display in game and am trying to diagnose them.
1) Everywhere the cursor arrow is there is a verticle line just to the right of the arrow, i assume that it is an artifact from the arrows image file
2) Everytime i'm puling blackout g's the screen goes back EXCEPT a very narrow border around the screen which still shows the game, maybe a few pixels wide. Tried to screenshot it but i doesnt show up..
3) Any fine lines in the game, concrete pad joints, the rings on the .target command et.c. will usually display as broken lines and not continuous lines.
Not sure what info you need from the DirectX diagnostic so here is some of it...

Same deal here. I'm at work so can't post system info.

I think the narrow border is an artifact of using FSAA with Aces High. Sort of handy, really, to know which way you'll have to turn to recover level flight when wounded. ;) The cursor problem is too, if I recall right.
Not sure about your dotted lines.. haven't noticed that.

FSAA?

Anti-aliasing shows that artifact. There is another green one on right side of text box. I use ATI cards and have always had these, too.

I see same thing.
3) Any fine lines in the game, concrete pad joints, the rings on the .target command et.c. will usually display as broken lines and not continuous lines.
I notice these sometimes also. I don't think it's anything peculiar about your system. They are all minor, little wrinkles in the grand scheme of things.. ;)

I reset the settings in the ATI control panel and ALL of these problems went away...but now everything is UBER-jagged. Time to start turning things back on one-by-one.

I think you may have the wrong drivers on it .
But my 9550 is in a 32 bit pc with the 4.12 cat/omega's .

Full Scene Anti-Aliasing. It reduces the jaggies on slanted lines throughout the scene. It should be a setting in the direct 3D section of whatever graphics card you're using. I've had this artifact on both ATI and Nvidia cards, whenver FSAA is turned on. It's easily worth the minor bugaboos, if you have the horsepower to use it with good frame rate.

What Roo said , the 4.12's Cat/omegas are your best bet driver wise .

I went to the omega site and the latest driver i could find for the 9550 and xp was 3.9.330... hmmmm
i did find that some of the problems i was having were related to the "alternate pixel center" option this was causing a ot of weird flickering especially with icon ranges and other small details.

goto the archive section at the omega site .

Found them! I didnt realize that the number was refering to ATI's driver number NOT cat/omega's. Have seen some improvement in FR but still need to tweak a bit since i'm seeing some jaggedness still. Was REALLY obvious when in tower. The black slats between the windows would "stairstep" while other things ooked good. And structures like the dar, VH and barracks would "dance" a little... but i think that some timkering will fix that.
Thanks for your help guys
