Hi chaps,
I thought that it might interesting to allow ditched pilots to be picked up by Jeeps or M3s.
You would have to wait in the cockpit until vehicle reached a certain point - very close - and then things would work like dumping supplies but inversely. Vehicle would open door, pilot would receive message that he could "jump" aboard and off they went.
Number of available seats for rescued pilots would be the same as for drunks, in each vehicle. Vehicle would drive to the runway, stop and pilots would type .ef. This way they would be able to land the kills they had, but the points would go for the vehicle driver as a "cab fare". Also, drivers would be very well rewarded with points for such missions.
In the end, everyone would be happy.

hehe.. I can already see all the beggin and *****ing of pilots 25 miles away from any GV spawn that someone should pick them up, so they can land their precious kills. Of course nobody wants to drive that far... And so I see a lot of mutes for cursing and calling names on countrychannel coming :D

This was discussed precisely nine posts below this one.

He, he...
Yep, but yesterday my squad mate and myself had to ditch our planes due to have run out of fuel and we had several kills to land. Also, we had a third squaddie that would pick us up if he could...
That's were the idea came from...easy...

If you can't pay close enough attention to your fuel gauge, what makes you think you should get your name in lights after you jump out of your plane?
There's other far, FAR more useful things the game needs.

Cool idea, but doubtful it will get implemented. Good thinking regardless.
