I am sitting here watching a program on The History Channel absolutely fascinated by this story of a woman warrior and her rebellion against the Roman legion in Britain.

As much as a history fanatic I have to say I've never heard of her.  Of course, this IS the History Channel but I am totally in awe of this little piece of history.  

It seems the more I read about ancient Britain, the more I am convinced that Britain has the most colorful, fascinating, complex and intriging of all Europe.

Read Stephen Dando Collins' "Nero's Killing Machine."  Chapters 1, 21, and 22 deal with Boudicca's revolt, and it's an all around fantastic, fun book.  Not dry at all.

Yep she was a pretty fierce warrior and leader of the revolts there and caused a lot of problems for the Romans.

Another Hot RedHead woman with Fire under her belt.

I'm RedHeaded and among RedHeads we have a rule.

RedHeads don't date/marry each other.

Reason:

  The FIRE... We are a Dominate Sexual species and will not stop until we rule the Earth.... You who watch the WWF have seen nothing compared to two RedHeads in bed. The clawing, biting, growling and moaning would send the most hard hearted in flee....ahead of our Green eyes.

We do not stop until we get our fill and leave behind a mount of wreckage and carcuses.

  This is your warning... shall you ever attempt a chance with a RedHead, Beware.

Boudica burnt down the town that i live in (a long time before i was born of course, it was around the same time that Lazs was born).

If a ginge marries a non ginge then the kids at least have 50% chance of having some hope in life.

not possible, lazs predates fire, he might predate wood.  go do some more research you'll see it's true.

Yeah, still have it - should go get it checked out.  Lotta Roman stuff around here, found it in a freshly ploughed field.

It is a small bronze cup type thing, about 4 inches across with a dimpled front.  Looks like it was once attached to something, probably not Roman and is just part of an old cart or something.  I would like to think that it is the front of a Roman shield or Boudica's nipple armour :t
