Hi,
I was going to upgrade to a better computer for a few grand as my old Dell wasn't really doing it very well here. I've read here that some of the newer PC setups causes problems with the game operating properly, so I hesitated buying anything new. This is the only online game I have tried. WarBirds doesn't work well with my setup.
I met a guy in the MA that had a Dell even older than mine. So I did what he suggested. I got me a new graphics card to fit my PCI slot and a SoundBlaster card for my Dell Dimension 3000. I got me a dedicated hardrive for here and double partitioned Windows XP to also play with Linux and try it here also. I had expanded my ram to a gig and now my machine is running pretty good here. I use ZoneAlarm firewall and the plane warping seems to have vanished. I don't like the idea of dropping my firewall as to the mischief makers.
I'm still going to upgrade to something better but as Vista becomes more popular, I'm sure HTC will adjust accordingly and maybe the readership here will experiment what works well with the newer systems.
