Technically you can fly with mouse instead of keyboard
(look here how to do that) (http://trainers.hitechcreations.com/mouse/mouse.htm).

But it's very hard, and even a cheapo 20$ joystick will help tremendously.

You can fly without a joystick.... but it would be horrible...

Flight-sim and no joystick? Not the same thing mate.

Really worth getting a stick.

Would you try to go windsurfing with a surfboard, a bedsheet and a broomstick?
Or would you rent/borrow/buy a windsurfer?

Jump out of a plane with a beach umbrella?
Or Buy a parachute & some instruction?

If your going to do it, take the time to set yourself up to succeed at it.
Do it right the first time.  :)

Spend 30$ on a joystick, saitek makes some good low cost ones.

'Would you try to go windsurfing with a surfboard, a bedsheet and a broomstick?'

'Jump out of a plane with a beach umbrella?'

well ya I would but only after saying 'hold my beer and watch this' ;)

Lonewolf... they're all right

I started with a saitek 290 twisty... $20 at walmart.  Flew it long enough to decide I was here for the long haul then bought top notch gear.

Good luck :aok

I did that. It works ok until you lose your grip on the broomstick. Other than thta it sucks.
