I canceled my account and I'm really thinking about getting back into it..
I was better than average in my heyday :) but know its gonna take a little time to get back into it.
So what's new here? Anything, or still all the same

I used to fly one of the blue planes .. but now I fly a different one of the blue planes:D
neither of them has a cupholder:(
seriously tho .. look at the screenies of the new terrain..its sweet
theres a new target errr i mean gv jeeps and sherman tanks
windmills and sheeps too for your... umm viewing pleasure
nobody ever HO's or rams or runs or gangs anymore because we all have microchips embedded in our brains that make our head explode if we try. its fun:)

No more 1 Main Arena. Now 2 Late War Arenas with lower caps as to number of people in them. 1 Mid War Arena which allows lots of folks to join..... but usually only a dozen or three in it. 1 Early War Arena that allows lots of players, but usually only 1 to 3 dozen in there playing. Most players in the 2 Late War Arenas. Mostly milkrunners and shade accounts running up their scores in the EW and MW arena, but rumors of some good fights there sometimes.
Split was to try and curb a single chess-piece nation from hording over a low population chess-piece country. Hordes still happen, but very large squads have trouble playing together when population caps kick in for a server.
New Terrain. New textures. New Skins. Sherman Firefly Tank, Jeep, some plane updates, a couple planes and plane versions added. No more puffy ack over bases and airfields. Some changes to some weapon ballistics.
Squeaker season is open. HTC offers two week free trial and adverts on Military Channel, so most weekends you've got lot's of clueless noob players in the arenas. Help channel has many questions like "how i fly?" "what bestest plane?" "how i go fast?" ad nausium ad infinitum..... With school out, it will get worse.
About 1/2 the planes you will encounter are La-7, Pony-D, Spit-XVI, C-Hog, and Niki plus dive bombing B-24's and Lancs.
Special Events Arena getting some use. Snapshots. Friday Night Squad Operations. Sunday's events. King of the Hill tournament. Close Escorts. Racing. There be fun to be found there.
That's some of it.

Spitfires have been replaced by lazer armed Terydactyls and Tigers replaced by T-rexs with archers strapped to their heads.
Apart from that, same old same old.

It's too bad they didn't release the updates that turned La7's into harmless butterfiles.

In addition to multiple arenas, a B-25 otw, jeeps, upgunned Shermans, adjusted perk/eny costs, gorgeous new terrains, improved performance, and the aforementioned pterydactyls, PT boats have been replaced with frickin' sharks with frickin' laser beams on their heads. Thought you could use the info.

You forgot to mention the Axis vs. Allies arena, it's another waste of space arena like EW & MW. Also you didn't mention the increased field & town ack, it's been upped to an insane level, theres atleast 2-3 times the ack guns on a field and in town then there use to be.

But it only hits the pilots, and leaves the plane virtually untouched. The ack is very nasty. Bring bandaids, and guaze

What are you talking about "it only hits the pilot, and leaves the plane virtually untouched"? I don't know what ack your flying over, but the ack from the towns and the field rip up your plane.

I forgot to mention "pit crews" at the hot pads and the winners circle for landing ace kills in one sortie.:noid

109s are more popular since the airflow re-coding, but not as popular as Corsairs have become, I'd say.
Most 109s I see are K-4s (runners) and they're used because of their speed and climb. In an average sortie I might find 1-2 109s, but half a dozen or more F4us (and they're not running! Well... not always).
Strangely enough, I haven't seen an LA7 in a long time, but have seen a few LA5s in the past week. That is to say none that have gotten inside icon ID range have said LA7.

Yeh I've noticed the same thing lately, been seeing alot of La-5's and not many La-7's.

You'll need to bring tissues too, you'll be handing them out left and right. A lot of whiners, as you can see from this thread. And this is nothing compared to the arena.

too much ack, too much eny, planes too weak, planes too strong, too many arena's....deep breath.....too many la7's, spits, ho'o'canes, runners, cherrypickers, and squeakers. too few acks, too few people who listen to me, too few maps, too many times HTC doesn't listen to my great ideas (because it is obvious that i know more than anyone), too many mean people on the bbs. pretty much the same, aside from the lazers and stuff......somehow some of us still manage to have fun....then again i'm sure others will tell you that my fun is not fun.
Game is a bit different, same concept, what's the worst that could happen...welcome back....they always come back:) just one of those things, just have to see for yourself....though the core gameplay has not changed, some things have.
