Well I just got this forwarded to me, THoguht it a good read. Fairly scary, if you think about what determines the level of Catostrophic occurance, that can land the President to this level of authority.
Just looks like chess peices moving for a future date, to have all the pieces in place before you cant do anything about it.
THere was a quote that said the best slaves are the ones that dont know their slaves., Ill have to get back with the author, of that, but Im certain it was a World Bank leader.

he meant "Führer" which is german for "leader", so he is right , bush is the leader of the USA.
but, because the country is becoming hispanic, bush should be called "líder", spanish for leader.

4deck did you read the source or just take it from the article?
Its actually nothing new. Carter started a lot of that stuff. The US government has been obsessed with its own continuity since the Russians got the bomb. Rightly so I suppose.
The article is just bad analysis. Since the Prez already has the power to administer directly by applying martial law in the event of an emergency its sort of a mute point that they want to set up one coordinating authority for the continuity of all three branches.
Besides, if there really was a huge, catastrophic emergency, I really wouldn't want it to just descend into chaos.

Well I did read some of it. Had to stop. Will continue tomorrow, after my coffee. The thing that strikes me though. Is there was never a mention in my local news. Ive searched the web for it, ( local ) nothing. I'm ( apostrophe ) sure that not many have seen it in there local news either. Im talking paper.
Just curious.
Is the news that used to be fit to print, not printable. I would like to think otherwise.
ANyway have a field day on my spelling of german, which have not a friggin grasp of, and lets just say the threads title is what i was thinking. Some got the point others didnt.
In the end I guess those that got the point, it was too late anyway.

deck, theres so much that happens that never makes the papers. They prioritize to sell airtime. This isn't really all that major either. Its not a seldom occurrence to see executive orders like this. The article you saw was someone latching on to almost nothing and seriously miss-analyzing it.

Well, I usually get my news from the net, or other fellow emailers, this just never crossed my radar, till after the fact. Just really struck me as odd. But then, alot of things are getitng freaky. Take for instance the high rate of lukemia in Iraq, attributed to spent tank rounds, and depleted uranium in the sabots, and casings. Just alot os going on, and I dont want to get into the elders of zion or anything, cause I really dont give a crap. BUT things have just seemed to take a dark turn faster. Seems like were getitng into some bad situations, getting worse. I cant remember a time in my life, and Im 38 where I actually starting having some weird feelings about the future.
Ofcourse, my first kill tonight, will put things back into perspective.
