Crazy.

That was a Yak, every day from this day forward is a gift... he shoulda bought the farm on that one.

I find it funny that the stupid arse announcer just pauses his speach, and then he continues the speach like nothing had just happened.
If i was the announcer i would go like "FREAKING BLOODY HELL THAT WAS CLOSE".

:O whoa... looked like he bent a prop for a second... Seen similar at the Flying Circus in Bealeton VA... But the lay of the filed is such that you don't see the valley beyond the view stands. Makes for an exciting moment to first timers.
Thanks for sharing

The announcer was just being a pro, stiff upper lip and all that.LOL I was at an airshow when an aeroplane spun in. The announcer voice went up an octave or so but he just calmly told people to remain where they were and that the pilot would be rescued presently. Even though it was obvious, to me anyway, that it was a fatal one.
I saw a late pull out like that once. It was a glider, pity I don't have a video. The pilot looped from very low level and only juuussst made it. When he landed, I was close and the look on his face told all.

Awww Guys, this happens EVERY DAY... In the MA.

I can certainly understand the little victory roll there, a celebration of still being in one piece.
:O
-
you can tell that wasnt planned...
-
I wonder if he over stressed the airframe.
-
Nah that was a relativly low speed pull out.....the airframe should be fine..... his heart on the other hand....may have lost a few years.

Not nearly as much than if he hadn't given it a healthy yank there. I agree, low speed, not even any condensation trails from the wingtips. I bet he got higher in the seat though.

That cockpit just got about ten pounds heavier! Hope he kept a constant down G in that roll or it woulda went all over!
Glad to see they both made it through.

Did he leave some paint on the runway?
