Title: TRACK IR users ! Need your help !
Post by: Phil on May 24, 2007, 03:40:52 PM
Pilots

Have been playing the game for over 8mths now.
TRACKIR is an awesome tool to fly with !

All of the settings have been set and all is keen...
The settings are adjusted to have my head movements move/react at a certain speed....(using the "slider" )
Recently while playing the game, my SMOOTHNESS goes very slow.
My head movement speeds are responding very slugish...

I have to quit the game, restart TRACKIR and all is fine until it happens again....

Any of you have this happening?
If so, what needs to be done to fix it ???????

Just a wild guess.... sounds almost if you accidentally have engaged the "precision mode"
Check your HotKeys on your profile if you have mapped that function to a key or button you may hit accidentally or is in use by AH2.

I have found that unplugging the unit from USB for 10 seconds can SOMETIMES make a difference, but the ebst results have come from using FSautostart. The difference is HUGE in regards to TIr performance.

I found this happens if I hit F8 by accident when meaning to hit F9 to pause TIR; to use GV or gun battery. So far the only way to straighten it back out is to close & restart both AH & TIR.

Yup, I agree with Boozebag.  I think when I press F8, it has to do with Aces high changing it's view mode that affects the response of the TIR.  Restarting AH and TIR fixes that glitch for me.  I never have a need to press F8, so I think I'm hitting it then trying to pause TIR with F9.

Since i dont need hat switches and the x52 has a TON of them, i have dedicated one, partially at least, to trackir functions so i never have to use the keyboard.
