Ok, it's not at all sexy but show me an LCD that can run Aces High at 1880x1440!
I just bought a Dell 21" Trinitron CRT (http://www.cprtec.com/P1110-description.htm) off Craigslist (http://craigslist.org) for $35. Probably the best thirty five bucks I have ever spent! I replaced my old 19" Viewsonic CRT with this 70 pound monster and gained almost 2" of screen size as well as being able to increase my resolution from 1600x1200 to a whopping 1880x1440! Beautiful! Let's see you do that with your LCD! Of course you have to hire piano movers to help you position it on your desk.
Long live the CRT! :D

That's what I have HomeBoy . Ya it is nice and big and my cat loves to lay on top of it also , warm for her I bet :rofl
Mine is getting a bit old now , I set the vibrance up on my vid card some , to make it look better . I got it in 1999 .

Still hard to beat a nice big CRT monitor for gaming.
LCD's work fine for the office and surfing the net. But they still can't match the speed and clarity of a good CRT IMO.
Now a big Plasma, that might be tempting if I had a big stack of money laying around.

Big CRT Monitors are great, but you need to put a fan toward them to blow the heat away from you, so you don't burn up while playing.......

Too bad you didnt live closer. I would have given you my old 21" Trinitron.....which was replaced with a large LCD. Theres no comparison.

Plus the 16 degrees loss in the vertical. Glad you can live with that. I can't.

I can tell you've never owned one...too bad. GL with your new monitor.

I went from a 19" CRT 1600X1200 to a 19" LCD 1280X1024
Even at the lower resolution, my skill increased dramatically after the switch. The difference is like night and day.
