Bigger than hogzilla. WOW. I wonder a pig being that big how goot the meat would be?

(Reuters) Upon leaving her last show on "The View" Rosie O'Donnell was slain by a young assassin. He was quoted as saying "It took 5 shots to bring that Biyotch down and it was still running its jawls for 10 more minutes."

Here in Arkansas, "Razorbacks", or wild boar are extremely common.
The taste factor is a matter of preference. Most hunters take smaller boar (if they are going to eat them) in the 200 to 400 pound range.
If the goal is to mount the head, then the bigger the better, and they usually don't eat the meat.
Many hunters donate the meat to homeless shelters.
Other Arkansas critters hunted:
Coyotes, bears, wildcats, bobcats, wild turkeys, and of course, deer.

Coyotes: Them there smurfy girls that turn into Princesses when the words "Last Call" is spoken. Note: Gnaw yer arm off in the morning ifluff'n she's sleepin on it.
Bears: These be the Fat Girls you don't see all Winter but migrate to the clubs in Spring. Good sign she's a Bear ifluff'n she has more hair on her back than you do on yer chest.
Wildcats: Wild lil girls that wish "Girls Gone Wild" had passed thru Arkansas... 2 drinks will get you in.
Bobcats: Same as Wildcats but with smaller breast and shaved. Normally Kin Folk... Fun!!!
Wild Turkeys: Older drunk women that have breast that hang to their belly buttons, smoke, not shaved and every hour is "Last Call".
Deer: The Woman who threw yer clothes out the Trailer winder before you got home from the Bar.
Sometimes I even scare myself....

The point may be arguable whether meat from a large hog is any good. It may depend on how it's prepared or how hungry you are. Most hunters and/or meat processors I've encountered would not bother with a hog that big due to poor meat quality. Pork spoils quickly and even for the "good eatin" size hogs, the meat must be field dressed, cut to manageable pieces and placed in the ice chest ASAP.

Between hogzilla and this monster has it occured to anyone that a new breed may be emerging in the south east USA and possibly examples should be captured to verify, and encourage the growth of the breed? Hopefully hogzilla and this monter both bred piglettes before their demise. Be a shame if us rednecks kill off a potential gold mine for the local hunting industry in being the world destination for hunting the largest feral Hog's on earth.
On the other hand I wonder how many unresolved missing persons reports from the back woods in that monsters territory were the results of it hunting people for yummy snackers.......

Something's not right about that image. One of my mares runs about 1075, and carries nowhere near the mass of that pig. Just looks tweaked to me.

Wild boar is a delicacy in France. Some of the ranchers in TX are inviting hunters to cull the population, and making huge dollars processing and shipping it to Europe.
It has to be tough as hell to chew though.

The tenderness is up to the individual preparing it. Also ,you can make or break, the flavor and quality in any wild game according to how it is handled in the field.
I have seen more good venison ruined by idiots who haven`t got a clue about how to field dress or tend to meat in the field. Same goes for any wild game.
Feral hogs, as a rule, are much leaner meat than farm raised.

Its the pics that everyone is questioning. If they wanted to show the actual size they would have had the kid sitting on it or beside it. NOT several feet behind it to make it loook bigger than it really was.
The big boar was hunted inside a large, low-fence enclosure
Of course hunting him in an enclosed fenced in area sounds a little fishy as well.c

Nothing about it not being big. He's definitely a few feet behind the piggy with his arms across his knees instead of resting on the hog, as they want it to appear.
Kind of sounds like hunting a cow. Pet pig in an enclosure, (probably a biiiig enclosure), shot 16(?) times?
Why don't people hunt cows? Steers? :D ;)
