To have an honest to god AH BB that has the subscribers of the game as the participants on the boards.

Some other suggestions would be a 30 day "trial BB" pass that goes along with   the 14 day free trial, and a sunset that disabled privs 30 days after unsubscribing.

A change in the AH BB that automatically "tags" your in game ID so you cant hide behind anonymity. You make a post, fine, but as a community we see each others "faces" for lack of a better term.

I think it would clean up a lot and make the BB a more genuine AH "place".

I know many will not agree, but thats my opinion, and im sticking to it.

I'll agree that shades get under your skin from time to time.

However, this board has been this way since 99. While it may not be perfect, it is  really not that bad. I came from the Warbirds scene, with their BBS tied to subscription. If your credit card had to be updated you couldn't post on the bbs.

If for any reason you had to cancell your sub, soon as you did your done on the board. You could read, but you could no longer say ANYTHING.

There is NO BLOODY WAY I want to go back to that scene.

Instead give shades accounts what they deserve, nothing.

Give people who have hung in there and kept their names & reputations since they started what they deserve. Respect.

Some way of officially tying to you screen name would be nice though.  Like have the name tag show the score from last tour.  Probably best to have it optional.  Everyone could get on the forum and everyone can know that this person actually plays the game.

I dont think its a good idea to link AH game to BBS. First of all i would never have gotten back to AH after my break if didnt keep in touch with the community via the BBS. It would simply have been forgotten. Im sure im not the only guy that hangs around the BB that has resubbed after a while away from the game either.

Closing your account need not entail the deletion of your BBS membership.

Once you start paying, you may register as your In-game ID.

Most people seem to list their in-game name in their signiture anyway, as I do.

i also dislike the idea.... i like to keep around the forums, but i can't pay for the game at this time because i no longer have a credit card..

Maybe those too young to have a credit card should get a free account if HTC and http://www.clearasil.com/ could come to an agreement that if the players fly around with a http://www.clearasil.com/ skin on their plane they can fly for free :D
