Love Firefox, but have run into a progressive minor annoyance. Hopefully one of you gurus will have a solution.
The bookmark tool bar lets frequently used shortcuts sit right out in the open. Firefox tags these with nice mini-icons that it picks up from the destination website, then shrinks. Over time, some of my icons have gotten screwed up, so that for example I have the Amazon icon showing up next to my link for the library's internet portal and my AH Events link has an icon from a software seller.
Anybody know where are these icons stored, and how are they named? I'd like to at least delete out the incorrect ones to let the program automatically try again. It'd be great to manually design and name icons if that were possible...
Thanks

There's another fix that may or may not work, but I think it should. Go to the bookmarked page. Delete the bookmark. Add it again. It should come up with the white paper with a fold icon. Click the bookmark and it should redownload the icon.
If that doesn't work, try again by copying the URL from the address bar, deleting the icon, then restarting Firefox. Paste in the URL and bookmark it again.

That's amazing Simaril: my copy of Opera, a completely different browser, does exactly the same thing.
(The icon that is saved is sometimes from the previous page visited.)
