i know what you mean, Diablo, but we truely would not want anything from the Chinese legal system. about the only thing its got going for it is the efficient method of execution; a bullet in the head. this is according to Chinese law.
In China, when your name comes up on the docket for a "capital crime" (which can include political dissension) the first thing that happens is a meeting btw party bosses and the legal specialists, who decide the verdict.
After the verdict is decided, the trial is held. this is no bull. the trial judges are under extremem pressure to agree, even if new exculpitory evidence is discovered.
then, you have the bodily organ buisness in China - demand far exceeds the supply. the always efficient Chinese communists therefore made it law that executions can only be done with a bullet in the head to maximize the harvest. China relies heavily on executions, and they do a lot of them each year.
i'd hate to get in trouble in China.

I really don't have a problem with it. Not only did his country take a huge financial hit that will take years to recover from but people died using the supposedly safe products he was supposed to be overseeing.
Besides, it's their country and laws.
