I've been playing AH for several years, and am still amazed that the same people are logged on nearly every time I log in.
I used to play alot when I worked 2-10pm and the wife worked dayshift, it kept me outta the bars and prolly saved me from divorce.
I Worked 2-10, and hung out with my squad 10-2 for many (20) years til one of them (just married and could'nt hang out anymore) found AH and got us all addicted.
Lost playin time when I moved to days, but still manage to fit it in when I can.
My kids are grown and moved out, I dont have too many other things to do most days, but can't get anywhere near the amount of free hours some guys put in.
I'm wonderin, those who manage to log huge hours monthly, what is it you do??? Retired, in school, allergic to daylight, neon signs or the change of seasons?
Just curious

I'm lucky to get in a couple of hours in the evening. Maybe more on the weekends, but then I'm not one of the guys with a high score or a lot of playing time.
I am amazed by the same thing. I love to play AH2, but if I logged as many hours as some of these guys do, I'm sure I would get tired of it.
-
I get to play 3 or 4 nights of the week(if I'm lucky) at about 2-3 hours at a time. If I even attempted any more than that, my wife would probably explode wiping out a pretty large section of the eastern seaboard.

Who cares how long someone plays? Is it really that important to the original poster? Does he lose sleep at night wondering how someone can play for 200 hours in a month? Is he going prematurely grey on the head with the stress of worrying how someone can play for so many hours?

What my excuse for playing so much.... I'm unemployed, lives in the only cardboard box with a cable internet connection in the world and I'm filthy rich.
FYI, myself and my brother play on this account.

I think this month I've logged 90 hours this month so far and last month I logged 112 hours total. See I have had mono twice this year now the first time was 2 months and this mono case is going on 3+ months now. Yes Im getting home schooled to get caught up but thats only 2 or 3 times a week for a few hours at a time that leaves plenty of extra time. I cant go to school cant do sports cant work out can do anything but stay at home and rest so what else am I gonna do you know? I will say one thing I'm slowly burning my self out of aces high thats for sure how some of these guys play 200+ hours a month is beyond me.
-
Sometimes it maybe more then one person using a game ID, like brothers or father and son sharing the same account. Some are simply on disability and don't have the money to do anything else but play AH, once they get their computers up to par.

As the human body needs around 5-6 hours of sleep each day, I'm sure you would wonder about the people who never ever sleep a minute in their life, if this could be done of course. Instead of belittling the original poster, you could contribute to the thread in a productive way, because people besides him are interested in how some of these people are able to play 8+ hours a day, every day of the week and still are able to live.
I was able to play a lot because I'm a college student. I'm home for the summer now so I work 40 hours a week, and see my girl friend when I can. Since I don't own a home, I don't have to pay any bills, run any errands and only have to clean the house and the yard here and there. Other than that I'm playing Aces High or out with my friends, or maybe just catching up on some sleep or TV.

I remember getting shot by someone with an amazing accuracy from 800 yards, twice. I went to check his score and he has 1200 kills in the tour - and this was during the end of second week of the tour...
Since I typically barely make 120 kills a tour (and I don't suck that bad) I realized this guy and players like him get 10 times the experience I get in a tour. He gets in 1 tour the experience I get in 10 months! In a couple of tours he gets more experience than I got in the entire 5 years I played this game.
Not that it really matters how much someone plays, but it gives some perspective of how much a "newbie" you are.

It boils down to it's really none of yours or anyone else's business.

Telling you that it's none of your business is by far the most productive post this thread has seen.

It's not my business, but if people want to share, by all means, they have the right to share and I have the right to listen.

That's interesting to hear your opinion. I disagree that an off-topic flaming post is the most productive... in ANY thread.

How dare you ask people an innocent question! Shame, sir, shame!

I sit by the pc in my home office all day so when i have nothing to do i log on. The hours fly by that way.
-
i give enemas to elephants, so when the circus isn't in town i have plenty of time.
-
66 hours this tour- I am not a plumber :D
I usually play long hours on Friday or Saturday nights and then a couple when I can during the week.
If I start playing too much I just stop playing completely for awhile.
Too much is when I take it too seriously and start to get mad at other people for how they play.
unfortunately after a break i fly 10 times worse than when i was "in practice" .. which wasn't that good to begin with! :furious

ya some people in here defanitly put in some serious hours,
so far this tour ive logged 70 plus hours, plus a full time job tattooing, husband, father to 6, im usally on every night, after work, plus i dont sleep all that much.
this game rocks:aok

Take it easy. He is just asking a question. If you or anyone else don't want to answer, you don't have to.

I don't log enormous amounts of hours anymore because the I'm just not as interested as I used to be, but I'm in high school 6 hours then at work as a mechanic if necessary (family business) or at home.
-
I work nights. During the summer months I don't tend to log as many hours as I play ALOT of golf. I play in tournaments ALOT in the spring and summer and spend time keeping my game in shape.
During the winter is when I play the most as I dont tend to play when it is cold as much.
Working nights while the wife works days lends itself to racking hours at times. PLUS my wife has her computer right next to mine and we often play at the same time on the weekend. SO we sit next to one another..talk and shoot the breeze.
-
I work 8 hours, run errands, do chores, maybe watch a little TV then get a couple of hours of playtime in. More on the weekends. I average ~80 hours per month, been slightly over 100 the past 3 months but, I'm divorced with no kids so no other obligations to speak of (the wife was cutting into my playtime - jk).

Sorry, I musta hit a nerve. Maybe Acks wife has been complainin about him playin too long.
I was just curious, and never expected an answer like that, but who cares really.
Not like I'll go grey over it (lost greys to bald years ago) and nothing stops a geezer like me from sleepin!
Would certainly love to have as many hours as I wanted to fly, but it just is not feasible. And my game PC is down for repairs right now so I've got the DTs or something, ended up readin the BBS to get me fix.
So it lead me to wonderin where people get the time, didnt mean anything bad by it, nor did I want to know anything anyone wouldnt want to say.
-
any hours i put in i sacrifice sleep or gym time. my hours are starting slope downward between those two. I work 10am-7pm which doesn't leave me much time to get things done after work and i'm not a morning person.
i played 120 hr's a couple tours ago and couldn't believe i played that many, i think i'm in the 60's this one. don't see me getting above 80 ever again.
-
My business is internet based so I work when ever I want to and play when ever I want to.

Nope, never suffered from the dreaded wife ack but have felt the painful bursts from girlfriend ack from time to time. But then, I usually only play on average 25 to 30 hours a month so it's rare when I get hit by the girlfriend ack. She also works at the same gaming company I do, so she's a tad more tolerant when it comes to playing time.

Sorry for the tone of my posts then. Usually this types of thread degenerate into "you've been playing for XXX hours and you still suck!".

Frankly, it's none of your damned business.

One thing is for sure --
A lot of people would log a lot more hours if it wasn't for these Friggin Forums. :noid

MAX, I agree with that!
few years back when i started playing AH , i was partialy disabled, back pain job related, this game helped me save my hopes and forget the reality,i ussed to play way more,THx GOD i'm ok now
imop HTC record of time spend in game is stupid and subject of stupid fun/blame, like the one above, i know are players with serious health condition, finding a refuge heaven from miserable real life in gaming,
Let them be happy

I've flown almost 60 hours this month, probably closer to 65-70 including DA time, which is a lot to me these days... I'm a university student, and living with my girl for the summer. I work 3-11, and spend a couple hours in the gym every morning when I wake up, and she works all kinds of ****ed up hours at the hospital (I don't understand her schedule; all I know is that she's usually not here when I'm awake, or asleep when I am... the odd time we're up at the same time during hte week, she's on the War Path, and I avoid her). Since I don't have to travel anywhere to see her, don't have to hit the bars to get laid, and have more or less quit drinking [heavily] for the summer, I've got a lot of time on my hands. I usually get 1-2 hours in after work unless my girl's up, more on the weekends (I usually take fridays off as well).
I logged 200+ a few times years ago when I kept blowing out my knee playing hockey and had nothing better to do. I don't really understand how anyone can do that consistently, but hey... who am I to judge.

Im a lazy ****head who is so disillusioned with real life that I changed my mailing address to MIDMESA A15.
