I live just on the suburbs in Marietta.

Straight up I-75 5 mins off the Dobbins ARB exit.

About 30 mins from downtown outside of peak traffic.

We are staying in Buckhead.  Is that downtown or a suburb?

We have Saturday off and were thinking about going to the aquarium.  Anything else we should do, preferably close to there?

Buckhead is the 'party' area :) .

Coca Cola just opened a new museum.

If you don't mind a drive, Stone Mountain is a must, don't know if it's the right time to catch the awesome laser and fireworks show though.
