I know we(everyone that plays aces high 2.) dont usally get what we want but i was watching the Milatary channel and there was some planes dogfighting and one of them was a Me-109 and he was getting shot at. They said somthing about his hydrolics getting hit. They said he lost control. And u could see his gear come out slightly. In the new update can we have something like this, so if i hit a Me-109 in the right spot he will lost control because of his hydrolics. And a sign of them going out would be his gear slightly lowering.

for some reason i thought that hydraulics were worked with and perfected at the end of ww2, but i could be wrong, you know that great avaitor howard hughes first implemented and perfected hydraulics on the H1 hercules (spruce goose) in order to control his massive flaps and ailerons.
like i said i was under the impression that hydraulics were first implemented after ww2.

Warbirds had something like this. Only, not all planes used it. Only a handful used hydraulically assisted controls (P38L I believe had boosted ailerons) or flaps. Many used gears, wires, cables, rods, or servo motors to move controls, gear, and flaps.
For those that used it, it would be an interesting feature, but if shot away I don't think it would really cripple an aircraft. It would just be a nuisance if your gear dropped and slowed you down.
I was looking at some screenshots of Warbirds just yesterday, and they included pictures of planes with their gear down because hydraulics were shot away. It'd be a nice immersion factor, but so would a lot of things. :aok

Tell you what.
I'll trade you your hydraulics requests from some good old 'Their Finest Hour' hit debris from airplanes. For it's time it was the ****.

AW had hydraulic damage. Sometimes the randomizer would score a hit on plane vitals such as your hydraulics, oil or engine.
ack-ack

I liked the coolant leak, and you had to really nurse the plane to get it home...
or was that AH1?
