Title: Arena Porked Tues Night
Post by: TheBug on June 05, 2007, 08:13:36 PM: Arena seems to be screwed up, planeset all funky.

Been pushing the Tuesday and Thursday night thingie, so if there was any way possible to have a staffer check the arena say around 8:30ish EDT(each Tues/Thurs) it would be great. Not a biggie if no one available, but if there is, thanks in advance.

True, true. Good to see the new faces returning. Most of them are quite accomplished. Seems to me also that this plane set is much better balanced than many expected it to be.

Yeah he got me too the other night... thought he was with some milkrunners and completely hosed the fight, was seeing some wierd lag earlier in the flight so I logged to reconnect and then couldn't get back in.

Post by: Chapel on June 06, 2007, 03:28:55 PM: Had some good times in there last night. Didn't realize that it was more spicifically a "Dogfighting" arena with spicific plane sets.
I had initally believed that taking bases, and CAP was acceptable.
As such I may have been a little hasty in believing that it is the defending pilots responsibility to gain altitude in a manner which benifits his survival.
So I appologize if I seemed unsympathetic to any pilots that were lifting (Which I was unaware they were doing) which may have been shot down (TC) =).

I'm still getting used to AH having moved over from Warbirds, and so I take what advantages I can get. I've always considered it my responsibility to gain enough altitude to enter a fight, weather that means I gain alt in an opposite direction, or lift from a different airfield.

I hope to see more people in the AvA as that was the first time i'd seen more than 1 person in there, and look forward to thursday night.

Just accept the fact that the Bananaman, as he is affectionately called, is quite simply a freak of nature that will nearly always find a way to leave you a pile of smoking wreckage. The exponential growth of his skills simply defies explanation . . . I think he was a better stick after three months than most people ever will be.

And the worst part is, he is such a nice guy, I find it impossible to hate him, no matter how hard I try.:mad:

I tangled with Mighty01 a few times either last Friday or Saturday, whatever night it was when the servers went down.

The first fight was me in a K-4 and him in a Jug. After a very extended fight, I finally got him.

I should have left right away. The 01 apparently means the number of bullets he needs to kill you. I kid you not, every fight after that (him in a P-51B) ended with me pilot-wounded, and in all but two of the fights it was an insta-kill by pilot death. Of the two that were not insta-deaths, one was a PW at the same time as he killed my engine (managed to ditch), the other he finished me when I blacked out the first time.

Watch that guy -- very dangerous. :aok

TCFkas, LTARget, Oldman and others have given me a warm welcome that I want to extend a thank you to. Some others have showed me some more good fights in my new addiction here. I plaied alot in the H2H arenas and practice offline. The help boards here have showed me alot of tactics and I am glad to become a member here.

This is my 1st post as I just figured out how to activate my messageboard acccount, it kept saying I was not able to post then I saw the email I had received. duh! Some players in the MWA and the LWA toold me to go fly in some koth game. I showed up friday to find out I was late getting there. that fuzeman guy was nice telling me what i needed to do.

i look forward to more fun fights

As i told TCFKas and LTARget i am not new to flight games but I am new to Aces High. I look forward to more great battles with the Axis vs Allies pilots.
