Without reading the link I can only imagine Putins suggestion would be painful for President Bush in the nether regions.:lol

Sounds like Putin is looking for the US to protect Moscow. Azerbaijan is between Iran and Russia. Placing a defense system there would do nothing to protect western Europe but would cover Russia very nicely indeed.

Maybe you should have read the article.

Seems to me that it's Europe's job to protect and defend Europe, not America's. I for one am getting tired of spending money to protect others or handing out foreign aid only to have those same people hate us instead of being thankful.
