Gotta give the guy credit for keeping the plane in one piece and still screwing up so badly.

He was just having fun in the snow.

Was surprised to see that old Navion with its big flaps at the end of the clip.

I was expecting to see his prop grab some ice the way that nose came down so hard

That's not a standard short-field technique?  Hmm, maybe that's why I keep needing to replace my tires.....

If Bill see's that he's gonna **** that guy up. According to the schedule, Andrew Rosca was flying that day the video was taken.

Especially seeing as some dumb **** prop-striked 21R 2 weeks ago and snapped the nose gear off.

I thought his gear broke at first, was sitting there thinking "Hey that guy must play AH, thats exactly how I land."

I know.  I'm not saying a thing to Bill, however, as I was tying 19N down on the East Ramp, some guy randomly comes up to me and shows me this video on his blackberry phone!  Word is bound to spread, but im sure as hell not gonna be the one to tell him.

Between exploding engines, awful piloting aka crashing into saw mill sheds, and hard forced landings, Carney will be VERY lucky to get their insurance re-newed, which I believe they are up for this summer.  I hope they do, because they are a hell of a lot better than 3 wing, and theres a lot of good people there, but its gonna be close

Spoke to Bill this morning. He found out about it and the video within 24 hours. Said the mid-time pilot got some remedial training - but he knew about it and the video which is good at least.

The engine blowing up, remember the guy who had the identical type of failure the week before 19N's engine blew up in Jersey - but the dude was up around Danbury and bought it. Was a 1 in a million failure between those 2 engines - but remember, insurance didn't cover those engines. Those probablly went through Lycoming since it was an infant mortality issue.

Yea, Steve Green plowing 784 into the wood pile definitely wasn't the big one - still hard to believe he took out the 1 bird you could put full gas and 4 people in.

This one gets my vote for worst landing that wasn't actually a crash:

Never saw a plane flex like that before, Seagoon.

That merits a whole new box in the options for reporting what kind of landing is achieved.

I remember something similar in my old flying group. We had a beautiful 182. Just as I was about to fly it some character, tried to land it at a short strip and hung it up on some telephone lines. He's now an airline Captain. Then there was a very nice Grumman and guess what, just as I was about to get checked out in it another character landed long and hot and ran out of runway, ending up in a river, floating downstream:eek: until it hit a bridge. I don't think he even got his feet wet. He later became chief flying instructor.

looks like my usual SOP P-38 landings in the game.

the one seagoon posted, man if I was on that plane the pilot would be due a royal butt whooping. multi cans of royal butt whoopings.

Wow, the tail snapped off and it looks like the plane lost it's nose gear also.

Those names won't mean anything to the vast majority of us. :aok

Besides, it's no fun unless you name names! (Even if we don't have a clue as to who those people are) :D
