If I could reach through the internet dadano, I'd slap you for posting something so entirely pointless, that the average IQ of this message board just dropped 5 points.

I think it is interesting information. I'm sorry you cannot see any value in it.

I think I just gained 5 points!!:rofl

That was some eye opening info there. The most interesting was the bits about the computer surpassing the human brain.

so, with all that technology why do we still get flat tires and dead batteries?

If you had driven cars in the sixties then you would know what dead batteries and flat tires were.

To go on a trip of even a few thousand miles you would have to adjust the ignition points and reset the timing and change the plugs..   you would most likely have a blowout on tires that were lucky to make 10k under ideal conditions.. a heavy car on vacation going through the desert would blow out a tire from the heat..

If you had air conditioning you didn't use it in the heat of the desert cause it would overheat the car.

On long upgrades cars were pulled over with overheated engines..   on long downgrades they were pulled over with overheated brakes.

90 mph was considered really fast and it felt it.. the car wandered around (most of em).

If you had a very high performance car with high compression the battery and starter weren't up to turning it over when it was warmed up.   batteries lasted only a few years at best.

but..

We woulda laughed at the women telling us to wear seatbelts and helmets..

we are safer and less burdened but..  we are womanly wussies.

Technology, like knowledge, does not preclude failure in anything. That's pretty much like asking why after over 100 years of flight airplanes still crash or break.

That was a nice presentation.

For those who have little life experiance, and I am NOT beng derogatory here, this presentation's premise was not news. Anyone over the age of even 30 has seen the advances in technology.

The shift in political power is obvious to anyone who has an inkling of historical information. The globe's power players have shifted numerous times and is certain to shift again, possibly in the youngsters now living lifetime.

Technology we take for granted now didn't exist 35 years ago. The only constant is change. Now that you are all peeing your pants over it, get over it. It's simply life.

mav...  that was dead on... the wussies today are wringing their hands and wetting their pants that someone might be driving without a seatbelt or helmet or that an suv might be warming up the planet..

laughable... pitiful..

I have no clue how you can pull that thought out of that clip. It is as if you thrive on the idea that is everyone out to get you.
What got me was the exponential growth we are currently experiencing in so many facets of life. It is truly an amazing time to be alive!

I forgot how much I loved this soundtrack.  Went out and got me a copy of it yesterday.

5/5, a must own.
