I've been considering having a go at skinning (Any hints and help for a total novice would be greatly appreciated via PM or here, by the way)
I've been considering this K4 skin
(http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i253/plague_06/109k4tulipscheme.jpg)
I don't have any photo references at this point.... It does seem to be commonly represented on the internet and sold as a model kit from several leading model companies, though and their profiles are highly detailed.
Before I begin what seems to be a monster task, I wonder what HTC's policy would be on accepting this skin seeing as there is a JG 52 K4 skin very simmilar to this already in game. The existing skin's colours are very different from every representation I have seen online of the aircraft, so I was thinking of skinning the commonly displayed profile.
Any thoughts or comments?

From what I remember this plane was supposedly found by the allies. I have seen no pictures of it, just profiles.
Here (http://www.modellversium.de/galerie/artikel.php?id=810) is a website with a completed model.

I myself built a 1/32 scale Hasegawa kit in this profile, so I have the markings sheet from that kit which outlines the camo patterns and the RLM colours.
That is what inspired me to want to do this skin :)

I was flying with Hammer last night, and he was in a K4.
It "glowed". It was one of Raven's K4s. I don't know what he did but his 109 skins are weridly colored. I also noticed the same thing on his G2 in Husky.
I gotta believe that if you can show your colors are more correct, and you actually do a good job, that the skin will get accepted.

Ah, so it's not just me then. The white is more like a neon sign than a white paint.
I will attempt this skin, then.
