HTC already said they will not out source the making of models for the game.
Also they wont share softwear they use for the model making as it is very expencive for them and a stupidly expencive price for a normal person to buy.
-
ok:rolleyes: , can you have all this done in 2 weeks?

If you want to do that, Alpha, get a job at HTC first.

How recently was this? I don't have time to go back and find the original thread right now but these are the quotes I had posted on my squad bbs. They were originally on one of the plane election threads.

Is there a way that this community could perform outsourcing on modules for all the planes in your list so that they all can be introduced?

There are some hurdles to overcome but things have been moving in that direction.
Personally I find this possibilty very exciting as new rides are always welcome and there are some very talented folks in the player base.

No you didn't but I have a feeling that I just read and responded to probably one of the more moronic replies I've seen.

Hi,
i could imagine Alpha202 is talking about Skins, if he talk about aircrafts, like so many others in so many sims.
Isnt it possible to create personel skins here??

No HTC has said that only skins that were used in WWII will be put into the online arenas.

Spoke to HT some time ago about this, problems are -
Software - It's EXPENSIVE
Import - It may be possible to import from other 3d modelling but it's hit and miss.
Tags - Even if they could import there's no guarentee animation tags are compatible.
Quality - Goes without saying.
Shame, I have really got into 3d modelling the last 10 months or so.
My latest is an JAS-39 Gripen for AI use (non-flyable) in MSFS.
LOD1 is 7000 polys, but thats coming down fast as I do the farther away ones.

Also working on an AI T-6B Texan II (foreground)

Hey Kev, can you do flyable ones? If so, ive been looking for a good B-52H, F-4 Phantom II, or EF-2000 (Eurofighter) addons for MSFS 2002 ;)

well fine i was just trying to help but thats ok i too

But you can create personal ones, store them client side and use them online. The only downside is that no one else will be able to see them, only you.

You sure about that?

this thread is still up?

Thats what i thought and it sounded to me thats what Alpha202 was asking for.
The reaction of some people in this theatre reminded me to a forum from a other well known Sim. :furious

Client side skins are offline-only. Not even for HTH. Definitely not for online.
