Hey Geary, here's a couple of pics of my car. It's my "before sextuplets" car. (never a DD though)
The "after sextuplets" car is a big ford van  lol.
I still have the vette... good thing I finished it before the kids arrived.

Most commonly heard vette related sentence in my household: "Are you really going to take the vette out?  It will wake the babies!"    :furious

Drooooooool...

The C4's came out when I was a junior in high school.  I had a Road & Track special edition on it that I read in class instead of biology.  Those tires are butterin huge, Steve.  Have you had it at the track?

I am planning on driving out to Phoenix later this year.  When we'll have to meet up sometime and, uh, street run our rides!

;)

We laid out a 1/4 mile and ran it but I haven't been to the track yet. Have an oil leak that I think the  tehcs would see and DQ me.

Yes, thats an N2o bottle in the back.  Love that electric blue!  So it looks like you did go with the Grand Sports then those back meats look like about 315's.  Are they the black with the polished lip or did you go for the bling? Can't really tell from that angle.  Got a pic from the side?

How bad is the oil leak?  If it's just a bit around the top of the engine wipe it up and you should pass tech just fine, if its spittin oil out the rear main then it's probably a no go.

good eye   ;)   ... those are 315's.  Gs-D3's.
The oil leak is at the back of the motor.  Unfortunately this leaves the rear main as a possibility... haven't pinpointed it yet.

I went w/ the black rim(the back end has been lowered since these pics were shot):

If it's a Chevy small block you can bet it's a rear main seal.

Let me see if I can find that striped pic...

It's very common.  Unless you're losing a lot of oil I wouldn't worry about it.  If it's just a few drops it's ok.  But yeah, to replace it is kind of a job.
