Through my company I can get these fans at a resonable cost.
There are a couple more. P-40 Tiger and another P-51 , Chuck Yeager's named after his wife.

wonder if the fan would work if you mounted it on the wall instead of the ceiling.

I tried it. doesn't work. :o

You know if it was a P51B or and H I'd buy it. Never the D though.

I can see what kind of price I can get. I'd need to know how many are really interested to get a better price. I have to meet their freight and bring in a certain amount. I'll look into it.

I ran across these a few years ago at a lighting showroom. They DO look cool, but there are some practical disadvantages. Be aware that the nose cone light doesnt give off much actual illumination -- it's a notch above mood lighting.
Also, these fans take a fair amount of vertical space. I can't recall if they actually hang lower than the average fan, but they sure seem to visually. Not sure how easy it would be to walk under them....but could work great in a bigger room, with other light sources, and a bed to keep walkers out from underneath the fan.
And the price... well, it was around $275 when I was looking 2-3 years ago. That was the biggest reason I passed, in fact.
