Title: CV repairs
Post by: Hawco on June 12, 2007, 12:53:08 PM
What about being able to repair the Cv in some capacity? I know that sailing the CV to a port to be repaired would slow down the game play, but what about having it near a friendly base and have some sort of mechanism to repairing it?
Maybe launching LVT's to it or some other way?

The CV starts to repair itself as soon as damage occures.   Just like it would do in a real war.   If you sink the crusier and not the carrier and the carrier stays afloat long enough you get the ship back.

Yep. A CV group is just like any other base in game. As long as the carrier itself is not sunk, you get everthing destroyed back after some time.

If you drop field supplies on a cv deck will that help it?  Always wondered but never tried....usually once attacked they don't last long.

85% sure they do nothing for a CV.

Wouldn't mind there being some way to resupply / assist the CV with repairs, but that won't stop the problem of the CV just being wacked outright by the divebombing buffs.

Is HT still a Navy rating?

Remember when Reagan brought the Missouri out of moth balls?
